Thanks again for trying SlapDash Podcasts. I'm continuing the bug fixing in preparation for the final release. Thanks to everyone that sent me feedback, it means a lot to me. UPDATES The mouse scrolling on all pages has been fixed. The app supports video podcast downloading for offline playback. The furthest played is displayed for each episode. The furthest played location is synced between Windows 8 devices. Better image caching for improved performance. Stability improvements. Take care, -Joe

Can not connected to internet on internet connected computer. When starting you get a message (I am unable to connect to the internet, make sure you are connected to the internet). Uninstalling and reinstalling do not fix the problem. This is happening on multiple systems.More
Does not play ANY podcasts
The app UI is fantastic, has lots of podcasts to choose from, very sleek and easy to use. HOWEVER I can not get a single podcast to play, I can go to the selected podcast choose an episode, after that it just sits and loads till I close it down, (I have waited HOURS for it to work with no progress), I have windows 8.1 (fully updated) on my acer aspire R7 and it just does not work. Please fix this and I will rate 5 stars.More

Think this might be the best, but still needs work
I really like this app. Almost as good as the app I'm using on my Android device. I'm new to Windows 8.1. Microsoft needs developers like this one. I tend to support developers for their work and want ads removed as much as possible. So I would rather spend the money, Here is my list of issues that for me prevent from paying for the Pro version and even using the app: 1) For some reason the app is not auto-rotating to how I am holding my table. I have to force it to rotate by doing a CTRL ALT arrow keys. But on a 8 inch tablet its hard to bring up the keyboard. And with the app still crashing I am spending too much time fiddling around fixing screen rotation. I'm using the.Asus VivoTab Note 8 Touch. Screen. I'm also using a new laptop, the Dell XPS 12. 2 in 1 Touch Screen and I have regular desktop PC that does not have a touch screen. I would like a better way to contact developer to a report issues besides using the review like I am now using. More options to search for feeds.More
My GoTo App for Podcast.
OK I confess, SlapDash got me. Been rummaging around in the Store looking for perfect Podcast player. I have settled on SD Podcasts. It is an awesome app with lots of potential. There are still a few kinks to iron out to make this a knockout app: 1-Add Playlist reload. At the moment my playlist is gone once app is closed. I won't know what podcasts I was listening to last. Save my current list and reload it for replay on re-open. 2-Support Win8.1 features. Still the app doesn't support 50% view. 3-Support Screen Rotation. This is very annoying, to have the app return to default rotation each time app is opened no matter what your current rotation is, is unacceptable. 4-Actively develop this App. Such long times between updates (Nov 24 2012) tells us you're not interested in this app. You can do better. Fix this and make us happy users! Thanks for an great app, now please make it awesome! Reach me on @McAkins if you want more input.More
Good start but needs a LOT of work
Crashes when I play an item from a custom podcast unless I manually download it first. Has a separate login - this is a windows store app, it needs to use my microsoft ID that I'm already logged in with.More
Laggy, slow, and no variable speeds.
So far I still have not been able to find a good podcasting application for Windows 8. I was hoping Slapdash would fill this void, but unfortunately it has too many issues. The first few times I opened it was unresponsive and very slow to do anything. I finally got the podcasts up, but it also has no variable speeds for playback. It has the start of a potentially good app, but performance issues and no changing of playback speeds hold back the app for now.More
Crashes and download issues
I like the app, and it's a good implementation of a podcast manager, but has a few major problems. It crashes all the time. If you put the computer to sleep, which is a very common action on tablets, it will crash. It will also randomly crash during normal use. Sometimes the act of snapping it next to another app will crash it. It's ridiculous. And when the OS automatically terminates the app, it starts you at the home screen rather than where you left off. The other issue is downloads. I can't let it sit for two hours downloading a video podcast, even with a good network, and reliably expect it to be done by the end. It's slow to download, and in the middle it will stop because it "doesn't have internet access" (which it does). So you need to proactively check to make sure that your downloads are working. But everything else it does, it does well, and that's good for three stars.More
Why the Selective No Connection???
Had this loaded on 3 other computers, where it worked OK, and tried to load on 4th. With all AV & firewall protection turned off, won't connect to catalog, even with Facebook login on 'keep me connected'. No useful troubleshooting instructions, anywhere. Tossing this and moving all the other computers to a different app. Shame, because I liked the keep synched across platforms features, but this is my new desktop that can't connect, and I'm not interested in keeping track of a zoo of apps.More
