Heat Problems

Great program but it would raise the temperature of my cpu above 63°C at which time I would turn it off. My CPU is an AMD FX 8350. Prior to use the CPU ran between 30°C and 40°C. I installed a better Heat sink and all appears well with the CPU running at 50°C. I know that the AMD FX 8350 runs hot even though I do not push the processor but it would have been nice if I knew that before install. I could have damaged my CPU and board. (ASUS M5A 97 LE2)

Pretty good, quite useful

My only complaint would be that it doesn't point directly where I want it to, it's usually off by 20-280 degrees. I like that it's more detailed than my SkyMap app showing star clusters, nebula and constellation pictures. I also like that this app gives details about size, distance and relative brightness of objects. I just wish it would point where I want it to.

Informative and fun, AR has issues

I enjoy the application as a whole and it's put together well. I like the night mode for when I sit in the back yard and have the tablet. The information is usually pretty up to date and the free version doesn't feel like it's lacking so much as to be a waste of time. The augmented reality is usually quite a ways off on my Surface Pro 1 and I haven't figured out how to calibrate it just yet.

Smooth as butter and fun on surface pro 3

I wash shocked at how smooth this app was when moving it all over the place to see what was in the sky. It also transitions from constellation to constellation seamlessly. Downside!!!! It eats up CPU like no other. So using it for a long time will heat up your PC and burn battery.

Wish the displayed time matched my local/computer

Update 8/27/15 - Time in app shows an hour ahead of actual local time and what computer time shows. -Minor detail, but I've contacted support twice and have gotten only auto-responses saying someone will contact me and links to their user guide, which provided no help. I have re-installed and still no luck. Hope they can get that corrected in next update. I haven't looked at this Win 8.1 app in a while and was pleasantly surprised to see it had been updated with much better graphics and functionality. Thank you!
