Version Notes

There have been several changes in this update. The biggest is the move to folder based synchronization, allowing selective folders only to be scanned. This also now allows for fast scanning to take place, which scans for changes using the date. This will not detect, by default, file deletions, renamed files on SkyDrive or files edited with the SkyDrive web apps, however this option can be turned off, plus viewing any folder will do a full scan that will detect these changes. The user interface has also undergone significant changes to bring it closer to the Microsoft guidelines, however it is not yet fully delivered against the guidelines. There have also been a number of bug fixes on 27/2/2013 and 2nd March. Also made the initial folder choice via the Settings Panel so it is obvious that this can be changed here in the future.

HORRIBLE!

It's less trouble (and faster) to simply copy over your Skydrive files then to use this train wreck of a syncing app. It has you select the files that you want to sync and then only syncs one or two. If you select the sync all files option, it still only syncs one or two files. It is totally useless!

Freezes

This is a badly need app for the Surface and really poor execution. The app synced beautifully on the very first time but freezes there after. I hope an update with bug fixes comes out soon.

A bit crashy, Not automatic, but still worth it.

This app is a little bit clumsy and crashy. It does not automatically sync. You run the app, it scans for updated files, lists changes, and then you must approve of the process. However, there's simply no alternative. Thanks to the developer for filling this desperately needed gap.

Great tool for offline Skydrive access

Most recent update allows you to filter what you wish to sync by Folder which is a huge help. When you're going offline for a while it's easy to pick a set of folders and files and sync them to your local filesystem for offline access, then sync them back up when you're back online.

Such a good idea, but so crashy...

Like other reviewers, I've seen a ton of crashing while trying to get my 3GB skydrive to sync. Possibly related (though I'm not sure if it's cause or effect), many of the files it's copied locally aren't detected as identical to the server ones. Once it works, the app will absolutely be worth paying for. Which is good, because I already paid. :(

I love the concept, but does need more work

Can't get drag and drop to work, and the folder structure doesn't show on Skydrive -- just one long mess of file paths.

Great idea... needs improvements

Foremost, offer the capability of synching selective subdirectories.... It is impossible to go to the list of files to synch without understanding what directories they are coming from.

Awful

Does not work, good idea, but lacking the basic function working

A good work in process

Yes it will crash but for me it worked as advertised if I didn't do anything else while it is scanning folders or syncing files. The other area I would like to see improved is the time needed to sync files. My SkyDrive has 8 GB of data and took 18 hours for the first sync and now it takes 12 minutes to scan the folders. Even with these issues, I gladly paid the price. It fills an important need for me.

Nice idea...crashing though

Trying to sync an 8 GB Skydrive store to my RT. Making slow progress, but it's crashed at least five times.
