Unlike others, the app actually found my cloud and scanned it. The problem is, only photos and videos that are in the public folder are shown. None of my music or movies that are in my own folder show up. What's the point?

Useless if it can't find the device.

This App is useless. It can't find my WD EX4 device even though I can see it using WD My Cloud and I can see it using Explorer. Software competence at WD seems to be universally lacking. How about learning something from Dropbox guys? How about an app that will sync just one folder on a PC with the WD My Cloud? I'm sorry I dropped my cash on this junk,

No use for it

Other then open my files it does not do anything else. I cannot edit my photos or videos. What's the purpose of this app?

Great app for easy access to my media files

I did not want to install this app because of the reviews rating. I'm glad I did. The app works great with my media file on My Passport. Initially I thought the app was not going to work because it said it could not find any devices. I then realized My Passport was password protected. As soon as I logged on to it the app automatically detected it and began scanning it locating all the media files I had saved. I will update this review in a few days after I take it for a test-drive.

"No devices found"

I have a MyBookLive on my home network. WD Smartware finds it and backs up no problem. MyBookLive shows up on the Windows network map and I can browse it/access files with no problem from any computer on the network. Mobile devices can access through WD My Cloud and WD Photos no problem. This app, however, says "No devices found". It is absolutely useless.

Worked before update

I had great success on my surface Pro2 before the update. Now, it says no supported WD device. That's dumb!!!

Great App for My Book Drives

This is a very good app that extends the functionality of external WD drives. Turn on the File history feature in Windows 8, and you can access all your content easily from this app. This is not a file manager, but as a content viewer it works very well. 8/14 update: The App fails to load constantly and does not work reliably with network drives.

Can we help you?

This app clearly doesn't work and isn't easy to use. The other cloud competitors have a better experience. Can my company help you? We help companies who are in this spot all the time. Slalom Consulting. Mark Haddad, Boston, MA

Doesn't Work with My Passport (Surface 2 RT)

I have a 2 TB MyPassport that is password protected and the app does NOT recognize it, Quite pointless to have a portable device that you cannot keep protected, while bringing it with you to use. I know it has to do with Windows RT, but if they went this far to build the app go one step further add the unlock feature. fools
