Doesn't work to sync iPhone to Surface Pro 3, Win8

I downloaded this app hoping the poor reviews of earlier years were no longer true, but I was sadly disappointed. I chose to Sync my Surface Pro 3 to iCloud, desperately seeking a one-click way of syncing with my iPhone. It took a very long time to sync and find my calendar but it finally showed up! Then... disaster! First it would not sync again to add items I manually added to WinPIM to iPhone, nor would it bring changes from iPhone into WinPIM. Finally, I tried to "sync now" and it worked and worked and worked and Ta-da! When it was done everything was gone from WinPim Calendar!!! I feared my iPhone calendar would be gone too but fortunately, after importing the first time it never accessed my other gadgets! This was the free trial but when it wiped its calendar, it also wiped the web address to ask for help and the evaluation form; I went back to the store to do this rating. Is this the best you can do??? Very disappointing, to say the least!

I use this every app every day

This is one of the relatively few apps in the Windows Store from a private developer that actually has a sufficient feature set and works reliably. In the context of the Windows Store this definitely merits five stars. The developer stands behind his product. I requested from the developer the ability to sort the task list by due date and the next update contained the feature I requested. I use this app every day to track my appointments and tasks. I prefer it to much more complicated and distracting desktop apps such as Outlook. Update 4/26/15-- One of the more impressive things about this app is that it keeps improving: adding features and becoming more stable. This is in sharp contrast to the vast majority of Windows Apps in the store which appear to be trial balloons abandoned by their authors. The developers of WinPIM seem serious about creating useful and reliable software. I applaud them for this effort.

Trial period

Looking for a calendar app that I can print. This one is pretty good and user friendly. Will probably not buy because I am looking for one that I can print by person instead of the whole calendar. This one I can input different family members calendar by assigning the style to each person which gives me a different color. But it doesn't print by style, that would be what I am looking for. Something where I can maintain everyone's schedule but be able to print each persons schedule for the week to hand to them to keep them on task.

Pretty bad

I went through and coded all my appointments green and my birthdays yellow. It looked great. I had high hopes. About the 3rd time I opened the calendar everything was back to the default color. Tried it again. It worked for a while but eventually it went back to default colors. I have better things to do with my life. Don't buy this app.

The Best of the Calendar Apps - Best for Gmail Cal

Was surprised to see a low rating for this app. It appears that the negative reviews are the older ones - so maybe this app wasn't quite up to par at the time. I am a new user as of Aug 2014. I have tried 7 or 8 different calendar apps and have settled on this one. I am heavily invested into the Google Apps ecosystem and this app does the best job syncing with my Google Apps calendar. It's a simple sign in with the ability to choose sync intervals, also can choose whether to keep the calendar colors from the google cloud or create my own. Can easily customize multiple calendars. Creating / editing events is dead simple and a very clean interface. If you're looking for the best calendar app (especially if you use gmail calendar), look no further.

Great Idea ... But.

I really wanted to like this app. My challenge was to merge my Windows Live calendar with my iCloud calendar. I installed and uninstalled this program three times before I just called it quits. The program frequently froze as I edited entries. Then, when there was a major glitch, I'd end up with duplicates ... even triplicates of the same event. Honestly, if this synced with my iPhone it would have been a disaster. A shame, really...since the native Win 8 Calendar won't speak to iCloud.

If only it would install

I would love to be able to provide an overview of the features and functionality of this app. I would love to be able to discuss the pros and cons of it compared to other apps. Unfortunately after 3 days of trying to install it I still have not been able to. I thought it might just be that I was using the free trial version, so I spent the $ on the paid version. It still will not install. I contacted support about getting help or a refund. Like the installation, I am still waiting for them to get back to me. So if you want to wait days for an app you paid for to install and get no help from support this is the app for you.

Google Sync Does Not Work

I installed the trial version and was unable to add a Google calendar to sync, thinking this may be a locked feature on the trial I foolishly bought this app and noticed no difference in the features. I still cannot link my Google calendar which I, maybe mistakenly, believed to be the whole premise behind this app. Waste of $5 and my time.
