Jamie-Lynn Sigler

5/15/1981 (40 years old) Jericho, New York, United States

Though she came to prominence as an Italian mafioso's daughter on The Sopranos, Sigler is of Greek-Jewish and Cuban extraction. Involved in entertainment from an early age, she starred in a number of stage musicals before landing her seminal role. The stress of playing Meadow Soprano on a high-profile TV show prompted her to take a leave of absence from college and battle a very public bout of anorexia, which almost derailed her career. However, she bounced back and went on to release a 2001 pop album and pen a 2002 memoir, Wise Girl, about her eating disorder. Forays onto the big screen and Broadway kept her busy when The Sopranos was on hiatus. Once the series ended in 2007, Sigler guest-starred as herself on another HBO series, Entourage, as a love interest for Turtle. Life imitated art, and Sigler and Jerry Ferrara (who plays Turtle) dated for over a year.
