Began performing with Ted Healy in a vaudeville act in 1921. During a performance in 1923, Moe's brother Shemp began heckling them from the audience and was brought into the act. In 1925, vaudeville violinist Larry Fine joined the act, and The Three Stooges were born. (Moe's other brother, Curly Howard, eventually replaced Shemp.)
Attempted to leave show business after marrying his wife, but found no success with other jobs.
