American actor Robert Burke graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree before making his professional debut on the daytime soap As the World Turns. He made his feature-film debut in The Chosen (1981). In the early '80s, he became involved in an experimental teaching project that strove to educate students by having them experience arts and humanities directly. After doing a few commercials, Burke returned to films to play the lead in The Unbelievable Truth (1990). His role as an ex-con won him critical acclaim and a starring role in Robocop 3. He has since continued to appear in films.
