Oculus Rift VR Headset

Overall this product was absolutely amazing and it's really a big step up to the new gaming world. But only having it for a couple weeks it began having problems and I tried every solution to fix it. The oculus would be fine at the menu but when I start to play a game.... 10 minutes later it shuts off and says your oculus HDMI cable isn't plugged in!? It was really annoying because I can't play any of my games without it. I'm still trying to fix it. I am still looking for help with it or at least get a brand new one... I already paid for the bundle which was $1480, (alienware pc, with the oculus and additional touch controllers) and was basically my whole savings. I need someone to help.

For anyone starting out in the VR, oculus is your best bet! The oculus is lighter and cheaper than the HTC Vive, and despite others say, the games you can find are very fun. Between you and me, try Rec Room, it's a very fun game where you meets lots of nice people! My only advice is to make sure you make sure the computer you use is ready. Lots of computers and said to not be ready, but are clearly underestimated! All in all, VR will blow you away, and open yourself into a totally new world where you aren't in your room anymore, you're in the imagination of a group of talented people!

So fun, I prefer this VR headset over the HTC Vive. The screen is much sharper and clearer, also, the headset is lighter and so beautiful. I would like to mention, that this is the ideal VR headset for people with limited space, and it was super easy to set up, Love it...

I built a computer a few years ago, and have wanted a virtual reality headset. I tried out the HTC Vive, and absolutely loved it! However when I went to buy it, I noticed the Rift at 300$ less, and they both had hand controllers and room scale. I went with the Rift, and am so so happy that I did! My kids love it, and the controllers are very intuitive, and fun to use! Would recommend to anyone.

I really tried this VR Headset for about two weeks, and it just isn't my cup of tea for the following reasons: 1. Isolation, really felt isolated from the world. Yeah, there was the game universe, but it wasn't that immersive. 2. For some of my neighbors, they still got motion sickness 3. You look like a dork when you use it and other people are sitting around. The share games like on Sony should be an improvement. Good things about the technology: Windows 10 was a good choice, better than the Android cardboard. This will be useful for medicine and science, engineering, and by building games, the technology will advance. For games and social interaction as this ad suggests: Don't buy it for that, there is no social component.

With upcoming oculus touch, it will be a very good kit for VR.

This is the best quality vr out there. The touch remotes are now for sale which are far better than the vive (uncomfortable) wands.

Poor product with bad support, tries make exclusive content creating a walled garden.

This is the coolest thing I have ever used. It will only get better once the touch remotes come out. Buy the game Damaged Core.

It is simply the best headset out there with the best exclusives and interface, its game mechanics outweigh any copying headset out there that's trying to catch on the original creators of the VR HMD, it definitely smashes the Vive, let alone the fact that the touch controllers haven't been out yet and its still better than that fake useless headset? They tried to even make something called revive to steal oculus games because they cant even make their own, its mechanics and flaws are a shame dont lie to yourself kids dont be clueless fanboys, the vive just sucks. Truth to be told the rift is the original and much better virtual reality headset. Truth might hurt you no offense though
