Don't waste your money!

99.9% of the channels aren't free at all. The Roku does give you access to thousands of channels, but you must pay fees for nearly all, but a select few. Some are pay as you go (renting movies & shows as you want), but most the ones advertised as 'free' require fees once you click on them. By 'free', they mean you can open the channel, but must have cable or satellite to watch them. What's the use of spending extra money for the Roku if I have to already have cable or satellite subscription to watch?

Works very well!

I bought this as a present for my parents. It's hooked directly into their receiver, so I was concerned about getting a good WiFi signal with the other electronics around, but no problem! And of course, the fact that the remote is radio and not IR, makes it work very well for that too. Overall, it's exactly what I expected and works very well. Obviously it's not as full-featured as the higher-priced units, but for how small it is and how inexpensive it is, it's perfect.

Refused to Update.

I was planning to purchase the Roku 3 but was talked into this product. After plugging into TV, it recognized my wifi but refused to update or launch. It asked me to check if other devices were getting internet; my laptop, 1 ft away, was getting excellent signal. After playing with this device for over 2 hours, I finally gave up and replugged my old NetGear.

Love Roku

This is a great product. I have access to only the things I want to watch and I am no longer paying for channels I don't watch. Premium channels are available for a fee that is still way cheaper than Cable. The only downfall is there isn't much in the way of sports channels.

NOT ENOUGHT CHANNELS

IT LOOKS INTERESTING BUT STILL DOESN'T HAVE ALL OF THE CHANNELS I LIKE TO WATCH ON DISH. IT'S A NICE IDEA BUT IT ISN'T THERE YET.
