POWER CORD

I HAVE GONE THROUGH 3 POWER CORDS THEY STOP CHARGING & THE LENGTH IS VERY SHORT KEEP UNPLUGGING TRIED GENERICS BUT WILL NOT WORK WITH THE SURFACE 3. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER SURFACE AGAIN BECAUSE OF THIS POWER SUPPLY.

Charger is Awkward to Use

The charger head is too bulky to use much of the time. It gets in the way of other plugs and is difficult to plug in. If you can get an alternate head, that is the best option.

Very disappointing, short lived 'disposable'

The Microsoft charger for the Surface 3 does not last. Bought 18 months ago and it has failed. The two (2) chargers I got with the tablets I purchased have also failed. I now must decide to treat the charger as disposable and buy a new one every 15-18 months or move back to an iPad from the surface since it only costs me once, up front. Microsoft is treating the Surface like the razor/blade model - sell the tablet once, but require ongoing purchases of power supplies to maximize revenue.

Does not work!

I bought a surface to use for school because my actual laptop finally started having battery issues after 4 years of near constant use. My surface was used ONLY for taking notes in class (up until May) and occasionally as an e-reader. One year after purchasing - of course, as soon as the warranty expires - my surface no longer charges. My 5 and a half year old laptop works better than this thing which is battered and used constantly. My surface was and is rarely used and yet still, the charger manages to break. I don't think I have ever bought such an awful product, I would never in a million years recommend for anyone to buy a Surface.

surface 3 charger is unexceptable quality

I Purchased my Surface 3 almost 2 years ago, and went through 2 charging cords within the first year and a half. I purchased the docking station so it is no longer mobile. Is anything being done about the poor quality. I am in need of a third one. It seems from all the bad reviews that it should be recalled and we need a fix for it.

poor charger!

I am having the same problem! Unfortunately it seems like this is a problem for all Surface 3 users. Why is Microsoft not replacing these chargers for free! And of course, the charger stops working when your warranty expires or about to be!

Needs work

The one that came with the Surface quit staying in & therefore didn't charge after 6 months of use. I've purchased a new one & will see if they've made any changes to keep it plugged in.

Worst charger on planet earth

Purchased the Surface 3 during the summer of 2015. Love the Surface itself but the charger is horrible. I have already had to replace it twice now going on three times. Now that the surface 3 is now all but obsolete, I really wish i just shelled out the extra cash to get the surface pro. Absolutely ridiculous
