I love it!

I recommend Halo: Spartan Assault AND Halo: Spartan Strike. Both games I find highly entertaining, the graphics are well done alongside with beautiful artistic cut scenes. I strongly advise to play this game with an external mouse... not the built-in ones.

Amazing Game but Need Powerful Computer to run

This is the funniest game especially for Halo fans! Lots of different enemies and weapons. I like that I can just jump in and play. Works perfect with Xbox 360 controller for PC. But when using the touchdcreen only on my Surface Pro 3 (i5 8gGB RAM) sometime the controls lock up when there are many on screen enemies and I can't move the character. He just stands there and gets killed. Need to use a game controller and powerful hardware for best results!

I enjoy the idea of something different and of course the addition to the Halo Universe with story background contribution; however, the version of this game behind a controller is far more sufficient as opposed to the touch screen control platforms (Windows 8 Phone or laptop). With this being a factor in my perspective, using an Xbox controller adds to the fun element. On the go with my phone is awesome but not the same.

Just fantastic awesome. I do like how they did the all gold stars to unlock the last set of missions, thing... But I can't get enough points from D2 or D3 for the life of me. Running out of credits sucks but the missions are still a blast to play. I wish I could have unlocked the last missions by now tho.

Perfect

Runs perfectly on my Surface Pro 3 and I couldn't have asked for more, especially for it's price. Great game and I highly recommend it. Never played any Halo game before but this is amazing.

It's a really fun game; it's actually as entertaining as an actual Xbox Halo game. Highly recommended, I just loved it. The controls are a little tricky but you'll have a blast when you get the hang of it. And the graphics looks really good and it runs great on my Nokia Lumia Icon, it's totally worth it.

Been waiting...

... coming back from a Mac after many, many years, this is the first game I've installed. Love it. Totally addictive, too.

good arcade style Halo

if you like Halo(or in my case love), this is a no brainer. Its arcade style top down shooter with wide array of weapons, grenades, turrets, vehicle. They are all familiar to the console Halo games, they sound and function much the same, just from different perspective. Also available on consoles with a coop mode which is quite fun. also check out the sequel Halo: Spartan Strike

Halo?

The top down view is a bad idea to me. Feels to much like a mindless shooter. Levels may at first look impressive but are simple and very straight forward to the point they're forgettable. Animations are very limited and the game is just a simple experience. Dealing with the enemies coming from every direction tends to feel like a castle defense game more then anything I thought it would be more n.o.v.a like but better with the halo brand maybe that's what they didn't want. Its not terrible but its not great either its well presented graphically It can be entertaining at times but gets repetitive. Frame rate is smooth colors are vivid sound is on point and graphics are clean i just expected more or different. Xp points are hard to earn so you will be replaying missions a lot or spending some real life money for credits.

Easy to control, but when I hold the button down to fire, it doesn't fire. Just runs around pointing his weapon.
