Lemmings is a puzzle-platformer video game originally developed for the Amiga by DMA Design and published by Psygnosis in 1991. The basic objective of the game is to guide a group of humanoid lemmings through a number of obstacles to a designated exit. In order to save the required number of lemmings to win, one must determine how to assign a limited number of eight different skills to specific lemmings that allow the selected lemming to alter the landscape, to affect the behavior of other lemmings, or to clear obstacles in order to create a safe passage for the rest of the lemmings. This version for Windows 8 has a rebuilt game engine and some new graphic elements, but the focus has been to preserve the look and feel from the original version(s).More

Great nostalgia hit! (some glitches)
I used to play this on the old computers at primary school, I remembered about it the other day and was glad to find it here , all the original levels and music as they once were, except for some annoying glitches e.g. lemmings falling through platforms they shouldn't be able to fall through, lemmings glitching in mid-air and not moving, but it's not too often and it's a great puzzle game :)More
Game stops at Lock up our lemmings level. I have beaten the level, but cannot continue.More
Buggy and Glitchy
There are a few levels where the dangers aren't showing up or the lemmings fall though board... this was my fave game back in the day.More
Nostalgia at it's finest
I would play this game for hours on DOS back in the 90's. I was ecstatic to find a windows ported version in 97. Now I'm absolutely elated that I can play it again now that I'm not a kid anymore.More
Could Be Great
Loved the original game but this one simply doesn't work. Freezes up, laggy, and doesn't register my actions.More
A little glitch but...
Made it through fun and tricky levels now on to 'taxing.' Things that need fixing: The angle of the miners is too steep. Having issues with taxing level 1. Also, I believe you should be able to switch a lemming in the middle of its task. I.E. if I have a lemming digging, I should be able to turn him into a brick layer guy. I think the only thing you can do to stop them is to blow them up. Please fix.!!!!More
Great game, a few rough spots
I love this classic game, and this is a good look and feel of the original. The only problem is that at level 30, even if you save ALL the lemmings, it doesn't go to the next level, it just repeats level 30. It tells you you have won the level but it won't go on from there. I hope a fix comes soon for this, I would love to play the higher levels.More
Laggy vs. Buggy -- Who will win???
So disappointing. Unplayably laggy and bug-ridden, at least it was free. Though I'd rather pay a few bucks and give them the resources to fix it. Hopefully, fixes are coming. 'Twas a great game.More
Loved the Original - This is Glitchy
Level 22 is impossible. The lemmings dig too slowly. Other levels climbers randomly disappear and builders don't handle uneven terrain very well, often stopping building and any tiles placed disappearing.More
