This free, hands-on session at Microsoft Store is a fun way for girls in middle school and high school (ages 14–18) to understand why computer science is important, and how they can use computer science to do things they already love doing even better.  During the Workshop, they’ll get an inside peek at what it’s like to work in technology; learn how to pursue their passion, no matter who they are; and see that a successful career in technology is within their reach.

The first hour of the Workshop includes inspiring presentations from local, women trailblazers in the industry and an in-depth Q&A session.

During the second hour, the girls will get hands-on with our Hour of Code™ session. This class teaches coding fundamentals. At the end of the Workshop, they’ll see cool resources that can be used to learn how to make awesome stuff with computer science. They’ll learn that computer science is a great way to express ideas and a rewarding career goal.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to meet new role models, get inspired by the pros, and get a hands-on introduction to the world of coding. To join us for our DigiGirlz Workshops, register today.
