Beautiful Game

From the art-style to the humor and to its story, this game is really worth every dollar. You definitely won't run out of things to do.

Simply amazing!

Not sure why Okami HD isn't being promoted in the Xbox One X enhanced games section like every other game that gets patched, but Okami HD is a stunning Zelda-like argument for games as art, and an example of how incredible Capcom can be when they're on point. This game flourishes on the X, with true 4K, vibrant colors, and a rock steady framerate that all work to compliment the stunning Japanese Watercolor art style. There's some weird item specific pop in in spots, but it's a small quibble given the package delivered, and the only issue I've encountered. If you want a single player experience with serious style, heart, and beef to it, look no further.

In everyway though food for thought one has to have their eyes & mind open & not shut to appreciate & embrace the artistic creativity in the journey that awaits! There is fun & adventure w/ this story to immerse yourself in that is like no other in this day & age! Game on as this is 5 stars in my eyes! 👊

Whimsical, beautiful and quirky, Okami is a real treat. Reminds me of the Legend of Zelda a lot, but the artistic style and edo period Japan setting really take center stage making Okami my favorite game in some time. Centering on the beauty of nature, Okami has you fighting dark forces from an ancient time to rid the land evil. The story is more than 20 hours long but there are a lot of other hidden items, collectables, weapons, and upgrades to keep you busy much longer. Love this game!

My #1 Favorite Game, but...

If you want a game that you can play multiple times through and still have things left to do, this game is for you. Love the Japanese art style/folklore? Look no further than Okami. Seriously love this game. Worth every penny, and I'm supposed to be on a budget. 5 stars because I couldn't bear to give it any less, but as I play I am noticing some glitching. Nothing horribly unbearable and very minor, and at first I thought it could just be my own nitpicking from having played on another platform, but there's something about walking into Kusa post-curse and still hearing cursed music. Same has happened in Wep, only then hearing the cheery post snowstorm music while in snowy hell. Honestly I have stopped a few times and wonder if this was just lazily transferred to higher consoles with slightly better graphics and everyone just hoped it was still good. Aside from that, this again has to be my all time favorite game. I love the storyline, music, characters... everything. A masterpiece.

Released on the ps2 Okami was lauded by critics and gamers alike. Graphics hold up even 10 years later and the gameplay is of the Zelda/Darksiders variety. if your a fan of those I promise you will love this. All in all 20 bucks well spent.

Nostalgic As Well As Timeless

I have played this game when it was originally released back on the PlayStation 2, and loved the world that it created. I was astonished by the beauty of the watercolors, the graphics, the story, the humor... it is a beautiful game. After having not touched the PS2 version in a few years, I was pleased to see that they re-released it in HD for XB1, PS4 , and Steam! This game deserves it, for not only does it make me re-live my days as a teenager playing it, but it will forever be a timeless classic. Honestly, if you have never played it, you should. Love beautiful watercolors? Love Japanese mythology? Great storytelling, action, and humor? Love playing as a wolf with god like powers? Pick this game up. You won't regret it! 🐺

Still a masterpiece!

They added intro/scene skipping on the first playtrough, guys! xD So us PS2 peeps can skip or fully replay if we want. The controls are way more sensitive and responsive. There is no camera speed toggle and that's slightly annoying for high sensitivity players but I'm adjusting back. The art is cleaner and vibrant. Looking forward to getting achievements for beating it into the dirt like I did on PS2. ^___^

Work of art 👌

Superb art style coupled with a majestic soundtrack and masterful storytelling make it a worthy classic and a refreshing gem to have on current gen consoles. Highly recommended.
