Give it a chance

This isn't a perfect game, but definitely enjoyable once a person learns how to play. Yes its plagued with many transactions and can be considered a pay to win, but one can enjoy and win with the characters provided. I got Evolve when it first came out and I was very frustrated with it, put it away for a year. Picked it back up and decided to at least give it a fair chance, and im happy i did. I love this game, and recommend it. It will be soon a free to play too. Give it a chance, learn how to play and you will enjoy it

Ridiculously fun!

This is by far the best game with gold I have gotten. While waiting to get into a game may take long, its still an amazing game. It revolves around strong teamwork and has competitive aspects. Both online multiplayer and local is great. The controls are pretty simple like most FPS. There are a variety of characters and a good amount of game modes.(I recommend starting off in "Evacuations" mode solo, its fun and good for practice plus you can tell lots of effort was put into it. To top it off you dont always have to be some solider with a gun, instead you can choose to fight those solides as a ruthless monster! STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME

Great Game

I've played Evolve since day one and preordered it beforehand knowing the game was going to die in two months and have payed dlc characters but it didn't bothered me because skill can beat anything in this game, believe me anybody that says its p2w or the monster needs a buff or nerf and so on for the hunters are just bad at this game because you need to know stategy and outsmart your opponents,of course there's more to it than that, its pretty much for the hardcore player but it was one of the best 60$ i've spent and didn't it regret one bit, should you buy it no its dead no one plays it anymore,it was a great experience and there will probably never be anything like it.

The Best competitive shooter I've played in years.

(Edit: 2K fired devs so no stage2) Great gameplay that seems to become more fun the better you get and even more fun when you play Evolve with friends. A Large amount of story and lore delivered in a similar fashion to Dark souls in that you learn more of it as you play instead of it all just being given to you.An Amazing community full of Amazing people! (shout out to the TRS/Evolve for Some of the best balance I've ever seen in team based shooter. Each team has a 50/50 chance of winning with the winner being the team that has the most skill and the loser being outplayed. While there is a large amount of optional dlc, the devs have completely avoided making anything pay to win since none of the dlc characters give you any inherent advantage over using base game characters. Edit: stage 2 is currently not guaranteed to reach us console players or be finished on account of 2K having terminated the devs(Turtle Rock Studios) Contract before they where able to have it greenlit for console.

It's alright

I did enjoy this game, however it lacks enough game modes to keep me entertained. The variety of playable characters was astonishing. I recommend you give this game a try while it is free. I do not feel as though it would be worth buying due to the lack of content.

Cool ideas everywhere, practically made invisible by loads of design flaws. The limited mobility and sustainability of hunters makes playing a medic an absolute pain, the AI hunters are utter garbage and the only way to learn is to lose untill you don't.

Misunderstood Game

The game has flaws, yes. The game has a lot of Microtransactions, yes and without question. DLC characters are different in their own way but do not trump the Non-DLC ones nor are they weaker. Can't yell at it for the giant (optional because 95% is just skins) paywall when Call of Duty, Halo, Overwatch and Gears of War have done the same exact thing. (The other 5% is characters who can impact a game but are still optional.) For those who had a bad experience with the game after release I suggest giving it another chance when it does go Free to Play. I mean why not right? By that point the balances will be much better. If you decide to get it before it goes for free you will get some nice bonuses afterwards. Heck the game makes me mad at times but I'm still giving it a 5 out of 5. Don't listen to those who degrade the game with blind hate. Judge it yourself, everyone has different tastes. More at talk.turtlerockstudios.com or ask me GT: Major Warrior One of the best games really.
