Great game with a shallow learning curve!

I bought this game on sale for $10 and I am very happy with it! It's less of a simulation game than Dirt Rally is which means less of a learning curve and less frustration from the start. The graphics are pretty good with the occasional frame rate drop here and there which doesn't bother me. The engine sounds are decent at best but the backfiring is amazing. The gameplay is very linear but that's to be expected from any sort of racing game. Overall this game is great and there are way more pro's than cons. I highly recommend this game to any rally or racing fans in general, you definitely can't be disappointed for the price.

true rally

I think people hate on this game because they dont get to race against live players and bots, but that is not how a rally race works is it? Grinning from ear2ear the whole time I play. Great for anyone who thinks that rivals mode in Forza, is a better test of skill than playing muiltiplayer smashbots. Time to take those hotlapping skills off the track. Thank you for an awesome driving experience. Weather, terrain, and tuning setups all have realistic effects on the physics and appearance of your ride. Only complaint is rally school. Trying to be married to a suggested driving line which does not even appear in the actual game is pretty frustrating. And when I say suggested I really don't mean that, you will fail the instant you go a little wide on a turn to such an extent that the school is more difficult than the racing. Tutorials are easy to skip though and are not a problem, just dont expect to learn a lot.

Its Rally!

If you dont know what rally racing is you probably won't enjoy this. Point to point racing with the winner having the lowest time. High speeds, loose gravel, and lightening reflexes are what its all about! Team VW for the win! ❤❤❤❤❤ ✌

Darn Good RalliGame!

Can be challenging at first, but difficulty can be adjusted. Plenty of courses, however I wish there were more cars. There's an Evo X tho👍

reminds me of sega rally championship on the saturn

I like it... Reminds me when games were just meant to work and not take things too far..... to a un realistic simulation level where the game just becomes not fun and more of a choir.

Pretty fun

This game can be quite challenging, but also fun if you listen to pandora or spotify while playing. It seems rigged, but in a good way because I'd always finish 1st. Thank goodness I could rewind a section by holding y! I skipped most of the annoying driving school lessons. Of course any Forza game is better. Why are my tires and brakes worse after each race when they were fine at the end of the race?

Controls are really not good and that breaks this game. Dirt Rally is by far superior to this game. Wish that it didn't suck so bad.

It's ok, but Dirt Rally trumps it

I really wanted to like this game. As i big fan of both racing and video games, i love games that successfully marry together the excitement, danger and overall atmosphere of racing in a great game. Sadly, this game falls short of that. The controls are bull (you don't have control over things like the cluth, the assists aren't as customizable as in Dirt Rally), and the sound effects could be better. But, all of that could be forgiven in a well made game. This game is not even close. The frame rate is scuffy, the camera is aggravating, and the overall production values feel very poor. Dirt Rally runs at or very near 60 fps, has realistic physics and sounds. The only thing this game has over Dirt Rally is variety. But that bit of variety isn't worth the waste of money. I strongly urge everybody, as a fan of racing and video games in general, to buy Dirt Rally instead. Dirt Rally is an invigorating experience, that runs laps around this half-baked phony. And it's free with game pass!
