Fine for quick OCR jobs

I think a9t9 works fine for quick conversions from multiple images. Start with images and quickly get text you can edit. I have tested it with documents saved as JPEG and PDFs. For example, a local community Sports Gear Drive came to me by email as an embedded image. Well I needed to grab the text to send out on Facebook. So a9t9 converted the text even with a faint sports photo in the background. It could not handle columns, mixing their text together. It could not handle underlined text. And it could not read very fine print at the bottom of the flyer. But it was so much easier than typing all the text in. Well done devs, thanks for this useful app. Will be recommending it to my friend who needs this sort of app.

It does OCR but not formatted or pictures

Installed it to see what it can do. I can't be too disappointed from a free app but my issue was I had multiple pages and it only scanned and tried to ocr the first. The preview windows was in an unformatted form and I still would have to do more work than I wanted to make this document work for what I needed. Maybe at least if it took what I gave it and into a readable format and scanned multiple pages into other formats other than word or text I'd add a star or two . Uninstalling

Not worth it

Click on Help and you get error 404. Limited JPG resolution, does not preserve formatting, couldn't get it to work with PDF. Not worth it unless you have very simple JPG to convert.

Best OCR for gaming

I have tried Office, online web sites, open source programs, etc., but none of them have done as well as this one. I never thought I'd find a solution that actually worked, let alone on the Microsoft Store.

it converts a pdf to text, which has to be saved. It does not convert the pdf into having selectable or searchable pdf unfortunately.

Doesn't work but its probably me

I have a Surface Pro 4 and this does not work. I cannot even find where this app is stored on my computer so I can associate it with my Brother scanning center. When configuring the OCR in my Brother control center I need to associate the scanning application but cannot find it when I browse to it. Yet, I can see it in the Start Programs menu...just cannot browse to it. I know this is me knowing nothing about windows 10 or the Brother MFC-J615W software just not working except it should because its supposed compatible according to the brother website.

It's okay

Does what it says it does. Seems like a sketchy app but it gets the job done. Sadly, it doesn't do exactly what I need because the article comes out almost unreadable in Word since it is formatted strangely. Probably works better for articles that haven't been scanned in.
