Search & buy millions of products right from your Windows Phone device. The Amazon App allows Windows Phone users to quickly search, compare prices, read reviews, share products with friends, access Today's Deals, and make purchases on Amazon using a simple, yet elegant, interface. To make on-the-go shopping and price comparison even easier, the Amazon App includes helpful shopping features that allow users to scan a barcode or type a search to quickly compare prices and check availability. Users may also save time by pinning the Amazon barcode scan tile to their Start screen, enabling them to simply tap the tile to take them straight to the barcode scanner. Shoppers are able to access any Amazon store around the world from a single app by simply selecting their desired Amazon country store. Amazon customers have full access to their existing shopping cart, wish lists, payment and Amazon Prime member shipping options, order history, and 1-Click settings. All purchases made on the Amazon App are routed through Amazon's secure servers just as they are on the web. Important note regarding permissions. The Amazon App requires access to the following services to operate properly: Phone: Within the app you are able to place a call to Amazon Customer Service. From the home screen, tap More -> Contact Us -> Call Customer Service, and we will place the proper number in the phone app and dial it. Camera: Bar code scanning requires access to the camera function.

Used to be a great app but now when I try to do anything on it, it just says internal error try again later!

I love Amazon shopping, and have an entire garage full of Amazon boxes to prove it, but this app is just so basic. The iPhone app is beautiful and elegant. This one is bland. Loading more than the first few pages of results is a nightmare. Pictures are hard to work with. Sorting and filtering clumsy. For a company so good at customer satisfaction I am disappointed

Awesome awesome app for windows

Great and easy to use app. Easy to buy, check and track orders. And my favorite adding new items to your wish list.

The app is painful to use at times. Painful! Casual browsing is ok, but scrolling through more than a few items is like trying to watch Netflix on dialup. You scroll through a few items, then are forced to wait while the app loads a few more. Scroll, wait, scroll, wait...even within your own cart and items saved for later. This behavior persists in both 4G and wifi. And if you're viewing an item and leave the app for any reason (to say, look up reviews or read a message), the app will dump you back at Amazon's home screen instead of the last page or item you were viewing. Also, the app the not properly scale for phone screen width. When viewing my cart, I have to choose between viewing only the left portion of the screen or viewing the entire screen so small that I can't read anything. I can't even side scroll *shudder* or pinch-to-zoom. How do you mess something as simple as that up in a mobile app? The app is portrait only, so rotating my phone isn't an option

Nice interface. But crashes FAR too often. Especially when tapping to view images. Also, when checking out, screen resolution changes and forces you to keep scrolling right to see needed info.

With new filtering improvements this app is much improved. Some finer points that still bug me about it: (1) Could do some amazing things with live tiles. (2) How about you drop the "mobile" and just call it "Amazon" (Kind of fixed. Instead of "Amazon Mobile" its the almost as bad "Amazon App") (3) Where are my options for push notifications on deals, on the status of package shipment/delivery? (bumping the app a star for this)

New update is very unintuitive. Items details are no longer sorted in tabs (pictures, details, reviews, etc.). Instead, everything is in a long list, non unlike Amazon's mobile site. New update is much more difficult to maneuver. Terrible update. I wish I could revert to the older version. 1 star because I can't go any lower.

Works very well for what it is. No trouble searching, adding items to wish list or cart. Only minor problem was placing order but that seems to be because Amazon has my home address listed twice and did not like the one I chose. When I chose the other, the order went right through. The scanning function is also very useful when out shopping. Amazon is often not cheaper than local stores, but at least you can know for sure. It is also useful for getting reviews even when you intend to buy locally.

Convenient app, but my #1 complaint right now is my inability to select and copy text within the app, especially tracking numbers. If that is a limitation imposed by the OS, then please, Amazon, please send the actual tracking number in the email you send telling me my item has shipped. I use another app to keep track of my shipments and the only way I can get most Amazon orders into it is by hand copying the tracking number and manually entering it.

Wish it would keep me logged in like most every other app. I use a password manager on PC that generated a long and challenging password that makes logging in miserable.
