the cost of nostalgia..

it's not neverhood, just hood :) but for a few bucks, it's worth playing to get that neverhood type of feel.. The game unravels far too quickly after the first few scenes, leading one to believe there were budget constraints as they developed the game. I did enjoy playing, though the puzzles were not as hard as neverhood. The level of detail wasn't as intricate but it is a clever game, and for that nostalgia driven gameplay, I absolutely recommend it. On a final note, I guess the game developers wanted to torture players with crying baby noises through a couple puzzles.. maybe there are a few disgruntled new dads in the dev team who just couldn't help themselves and had to project that awful torture to the audience :)

Fun but short

the nostalgia factor makes this 5 stars alone. Quick game with fun puzzles and humor. Only real complaints are the stick controls made the door opening slider puzzles take much longer than they rightfully should, the crying p and the constant use of the gondola. puzzles can be tough so its a good idea to just have a notepad to copy down important symbols and info.

Beutiful Game!

A beautiful game with a great soundtrack, original characters, and entertaining puzzles. The game was very short but, you can't beat the price.

Boring and the puzzles are hairpulling. Avoid this stinker

Neverhood Mini, the price is right

Its a mini Neverhood. If evil puzzles and a wacky point and click are your thing or if they arent. This is a great game. 5 out of 5. Great Buy. Worth a couple hours AT LEAST, Maybe 10-20 hours AT BEST.

Dear Doug TenNapel

I really love this Neverhoody world you've created. I love the stopmotion, and I adore the score by Terry Scott Taylor. But you really need to spend more time on the story and characters. I know this is a kids game, but that doesn't mean you can't give Tommynaut a character arc, or make Vognaut sympathetic. These 2 characters aren't dynamic, and we're expected to believe that they're brothers? It's not a bad game, but when the backstory about Zturk and Meva is 100 times more interesting than the main story, that's a serious problem. I'm sorry for my harsh words, but it's only out of love and admiration for the Neverhood Universe that I say this. I want you do better because I know you CAN do better. I want to see more from this world. I don't want the Neverhood to fade into obscurity. I hope you continue making these games. As long as you do, I will buy them. Just spend some more time fleshing these characters out. Heck, if you want writing advice, I would gladly help. Love Tristan.
