Blackwood Crossing is a story-driven first-person adventure game. A haunting tale of intrigue and mystery. You play as Scarlett, a teenager finding her way in the world. You wake up, disorientated, to find yourself and your younger brother, Finn, inexplicably travelling on a moving train. But when a mysterious figure appears, it’s clear that this is no ordinary train ride. It’s the beginning of a magical voyage, steeped in life, love and loss. Navigating this powerful drama - where the world, and your abilities develop in extraordinary ways - you are forced to examine your relationship with Finn. You are orphans, and your relationship has always been strong. However, adolescence has opened the door to new interests, and you’ve been growing apart. As you gradually uncover the depths of Finn’s anguish, the consequences of your remoteness become shockingly clear.

its worth it

Look if you are going for a good story then go for this was a great story that hit home for me.the game is about 4 hours long. the puzzels in the game are not to bad at all fun a little to easy. a few scary moments i guess where something might creep you out but nothing crazy.i enjoyed a good little game like this and i would and will play it again.

moving and a beautiful realized word

A very moving game that tells a short story very well paced. The art direction is beautiful, being one of the strong poins of the game, along with the characters, dialog and over all theme. it`s a quick game, realtive to most but well worth the time. I only wish there had been an option to move faster at certain points, but that is a minor complaint.

Wow just wow..

While playing this game i nearly gave up and quit playing it because you cant run at all. Im so glad i didn't give up on it, this game managed to do the one thing that no game has for a very long time and that one thing is actually make me cry. Even while writing this review im having trouble holding back tears. For a game to grab you with that much emotion is amazing. Fantastic game !

Great short game

Story is short but quite deep. Art style is fantastic, just wish it was longer.

Beautiful Game

This is a well written and great game. There are a lot of this genre out now: but this is definately worth a try. I was really impressed by the story and graphics. It's a lot of fun to play.

This game was excellent! The emotional impression it leaves is reminiscent of games like flower and journey yet with the bonus of a fleshed out and captivating narrative. My only complaint is you have but one movement speed and it makes backtracking rather painful.

Great story with heart

The best story in a game for a while. Props to the writer, only the story is short (around 5hours). I feel like they should have filled out the story a bit more. We dont know what actually happend to finn and we dont get a satisfying post ending scene set in reality, also most of the characters we dont get to see unmasked. Price is way too high for a 5hr game, i'd recommend to wait until it goes on sale.

Beautiful Story ~ short game

The characters are well designed, the art was eerie but beautiful, and the story was well developed and it made the ending much harder hitting. Very short game with very basic yet enjoyable puzzles that keep the player interested......However you can't run!

A beautifully told narrative with heavy subject matter. i loved that as the story unfolds the game NEVER spoonfeeds you the details, you get little bits here and there and the game treats you like an adult and knows youre picking up on its details. if you liked firewatch you'll like this too. also there's a review on here talking about a 'game breaking' bug involving fire and a newspaper, its merely a puzzle that has an extra step. respectfuly, the reviewers inability to solve it doesnt constitute a bug
