Castles tells the story of the ambitious King Harold, whose greatest achievement will be the tower you are constructing. As the tower grows taller and taller, more and more challenges arise along with it. Unpredictable weather combined with the efforts of the jealous and vengeful King Edmund, King Harold’s nemesis, may thwart your upward progress. Featuring three modes of play (story, survival, and competitive) the game can be enjoyed individually or as a multiplayer. With more than 50 levels of randomized gameplay in story mode, you will never play the same game twice. You control an engineer, rather than the blocks themselves, creating a unique gameplay experience. Engineers must match three or more blocks of tools or colors in order to achieve each level’s goals. The 7x7 grid allows engineers to move around the perimeter of the central 5x5 grid where blocks fall from above. Snow, wind, fog, and storms challenge the engineers as they work non-stop through day and night. All the while King Edmund’s minions, equipped with menacing machinery, are bent on orchestrating the tower's demise.

Cheap Money Grabber

It's a cheap attempt at a puzzle game. It starts out slow enough only to have a very steep difficult curve after the first boss. The game glitches numerous times during puzzles and boss battles which are already to difficult to begin with. The controls are a joke, they are touchy and often don't work. Don't fall for this cheap money grab like I did or you will regret it.

Unrealistic expectations from developers.

The devs obviously spent no time playing their own game. By the time you reach the second boss the difficulty spikes to near impossible. Very poor game mechanics do not allow players to keep up and it becomes a luck of the draw repeat the same thing a hundred times expecting a different result. That defines insanity. Will never buy anything these devs make again unless they show some dedication and update to a playable version.

Poor difficulty spike

The game begins dropping blocks after blocks during the second boss battle. It fills the board entierly making you fail. Waste of money, DO NOT BUY.

cute casual game

Fun in the style of older video games, like Tetris. Can seem repetitive. Still captures attention and focuses concentration in a nice way.

High Quality Indie Title & Affordable Too!

Smooth controls and very colorful. If you have anybody to play with at home, then that tops the cake! Even if you don't buy this when it's on sale; it's still cheap by default for such a cute, artistic & simple game! If other Titles are too requiring of nonstop 'Try-Hard' to achieve their goals, then this arcade will be a relaxing change of pace.

Even on sale it's too much

Boring puzzler that gets perversely hard at the 2nd boss stage, which is glitched.
