Just like board

This plays pretty much like the board game. There were some house rules we used. So it took a little while to get with the official rules.

needs improvement on the basics; game play does work

It's nice to have the option of playing catan on my PC tablet, but this app uses entirely too much processing power and does not have enough graphics options to reduce it. It uses as much processor as watching a couple videos at the same time. Why? The iPad version manages fine without hogging resources. I don't need graphics to be better than the iPad version, and I certainly don't want the super animated map that's difficult to see. App always crashes when trying to play 'heading for new shores' 4-player version. Also, why on earth does this app not even remember my user preferences? Seriously, get the basics working before wasting code on sparkles! update: after writing this review last week, I have been prompted three times to write a review, so seeing as the game is also an unnecessary nag, I'm removing another star from my rating.

Catan's Pros and Cons

I really like the fact its animated and 3D, I don't have 5 dollars at the moment so I wish the tutorial or the trial version was just expanded it a little more. The game is lots of fun and I enjoy it

Love it

Bringing the fun of Settlers of Catan to the PC. playing against the computers is a great way to work on your stratagem and the multi player aspect works well. There are only a few things I think could be improved on. Adding the ability to have multiplayer online functionality, giving players the ability to skip animation, adding a random scenario generator. The game is awesome, the graphics are as good as you could ask for in a small application and the ability to add expansions is great. Overall this is a great game. Thanks for making it guys. :)

Addicting

So good that I want to buy the full version. Not too crazy with the graphics, I don't think I need it to be to 3D, but I like the option of changing the board.

Zoom is bad

The auto zoom sometimes makes it so you can not pick a new tile number and that means the game has to be reset.

A great Catan App!

I really have enjoyed this application. It does a great job for playing the Catan game on my windows 10 machine. Though the one thing really missing from this game is the 6 player version of Catan! Would love to see that!

App needs major improvement

I love this game and I love the option to play with up to four friends locally or against the computer. The campaigns were ok, only 6 scenarios for each. Unfortunately the Seafarers campaign won't let me play the last scenario, it goes to a white screen and closes out. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded and nothing has worked. I saw other reviews/comments where others were having the same issue, but for the Cities & Knights campaign. Hopefully the bugs get improved as it's a much cheaper option and more convenient to play on a tablet than on a board that needs set up manually. Would also like to see a 5-6 player expansion too.
