Simple and elegant, like a REAL chess board!

Beautifully simple and approachable for two chess players who know how to play. Simulates a REAL chess board by not validating moves or doing other things that unnecessarily complicate the game or limits the game's potential for use with chess variants. This is the best chess game application if you and a friend are just wanting a chess board and pieces on your tablet. The simplicity and elegance of the application are wonderful!

Works as advertised

The reviewer below probably didn't click to "read more" on the description. It clearly states that there is no move validation. This is more for people that just want the chess board. It's good for improving your game against a real opponent, when you don't want computer aid. There are times when I will play against friends or family with custom rules and just need a board. The simple style also runs really well on low powered processors. I got what I thought I would out of it.

Great App!

Fun little app to play on your slate device. Nice, simple, and approachable. I love how you can play with two "live" people vs. having to play against a computer. Let's the kids challenge each other at their level!

Chess rules are not defined

Apparently, you can move any piece anywhere, and you can move out of your turn. So, following the rules of the game depends on the players themselves.

Bishop moves down a row to take a piece??

The game allows you to move pieces in ways they are not intended to move
