I like it, but lacking one thing
It's a neat tile to add to Start, but it would be nice to have example sentences for each Kanji and enlarge the font for the Kanji description.More
Good but more live tile choices please
Great app but on windows 10 it'd be nice to have a greater range of live tiles (maybe extra large would show the brush strokes at a glance?).More
simple, easy to use, does what it says it will doMore
The widget should also have the hiragana as well as the kanji showing. It would make the app a lot more user friendly.More
It's good but...
I just wish the text was bigger so I'm not having to lean close to my screen to clearly see the meanings and the kana. I'd also get rid of all that empty space or put something else there. It just makes everything appear even smaller than it actually is. The kanji and the stroke orders look fantastic! I also like that I can scroll back to previous ones and study those. Overall, it's a great study tool.More
You can choose to learn a little or a lot, depending on how much time you have. You see everything you need - stroke order, multiple examples, onyomi and kunyomi. I highly recommend this app!More
Just installed it. Delivers daily kanji as promised, but could improve to be a little bit better. There's so much blank space in the center of the screen, it would be nice if there were a box I could practice the stroke order in on my Surface. Also, the "feedback and feature request" menu item only opens an empty browser session.More
I love it, but..
it really, really needs to let you write on it! Practicing stroke order etc. without opening another app would be very convenient. I think it can definitely be done, even if the only way to erase was a clear button. I'll keep the app for the nice tile and hope for the best!More
Simple and good!
It's good. If it can show meaning of word at live tile , it'll be perfect :D.More
Wonderful app for expanding Kanji vocabulary!
Very fluid and simple, easy to use. Has both the Kun and On readings and the examples are useful and have pronunciations in hiragana and in romanji, which is very nice. I do wish it had pronunciations of the word, but with a basic understand of hiragana and the Japanese pronunciations, it's not too difficult to tell how it's pronounced. The stroke order is very easy to follow and it has a picture of the 'printed' kanji for reference and the stroke order shows a more stylized version of the word (like the difference between handwriting words and seeing them typed out on a computer), which is very handy for recognizing the kanji in different scenarios.More
