Huge fan of the dead rising series.

I have played every game and they took a lot of risks to make this game different. The best thing about this game is the amount of items to pick up and it feels great to kill zombies. The time limit is something that felt right to dead rising and I think that in the future it should be an option. I would rather the dlc add things to this game that people want. We want a hard difficulty. This game is really easy. The easiest in the series. Cast west and Case zero are pretty easy, but this takes the cake. I like co-op to be a good focus in future games and I don't mind if we are limited with zombies on screen or lower graphics settings. Personal opinion. Bring back the cut scenes of the psychopaths. The new MANIACS offer little challenge and feel tacked on. Doesn't add to the world like the hoped. Give option on time and bring back psychopaths. Keep interesting items to build and keep up on the story telling. This game was pretty good. Make it more difficult. Please Capcom. give updates.

My favorite Dead Rising yet

I've been a fan of the series since the beginning and this one breaks a lot of traditions from the old games, but I think it's for the better. The story is fun and the new Frank West is pretty funny. I only wish we had Psychopaths as opposed to the new Maniacs. Overall, I'm a big fan of the latest installment.

Too buggy to be good.

I'd love to say I am thrilled at the return of Frank West, and I would be... If they game he starred in wasn't a buggy mess! I've had to restart twice and I give up. Once at 30some odd percent all of my Safe Houses were suddenly Lvl 0 and none of the NPCs were there (in ANY of them). This time around I used an ExoSuit before the story needed me to and now even loading my save, the exo suit is gone and I cannot continue. This is FRUSTRATING. I want to enjoy the game, but being forced to restart twice now (not to mention ALL of my settings were reset today as well). I'm giving it a few weeks and see if they'll fix what's broken. Otherwise, skip it. It's just not worth the frstration right now.

Very Good!

Didn't expect it to run great but I was really surprised. It runs VERY well! I have a GTX 1070 and haven't noticed any issues so far. Getting constant frame rate and graphics are really nice. The game seems really well polished. Great job Capcom! Also the DLC WON'T download until the game is downloaded and installed!! FYI

Not worth $60 frickin bucks

Broken port. Zero updates. I still have no idea what the story is like because the game crashes during every single cutscene, toward the end of. Poor framerates with a powerhouse of a pc. The good reviews must be from xbox version. Nothing good to say on my end. Bad form Capcom.

Subpar Sequel

Game isn't as good as the others. Poorly optimized. Besides that, just an average adventure game with the Dead Rising game. Can be fun at times, boring at others. Play to explore and kill zombies, besides that, it doesn't really have much substance.

Wait for steam to get access.

I love dead rising. I love the series, huge fan. But this is getting ridiculous cons: 1) cannot link to steam unless you're willing to fight with access 2) must spend additional 20$ to get real ending and time modes 3) crashes as much as a drunk addition of Nascar 4) windows suggests you don't haaave to link an xbox account, but if you don't you cannot play 5) repeat of one, I had to spend 30 minutes fighting with my system to give me access before I could even view the windows app folder, even then I cannot do anything in it, like play the game in a way that I'd enjoy to allow me to remain social with friends on steam, telegram, discord, skype, and everything else. There is one pro though! 1) at least I get to look at the pretty menu for 10 minutes before the game crashes on itself. Please, get this fixed. if it's never fixed, just wait for steam to get permission to host the game in 5-10 years, at least they are a platform that gives 2 s###s about the customer and not just money.

Disappointing so far

I will not discuss the nightmare that is the Windows store as that isn't fair to the game. After a lengthy war getting this installed I can finally review. The game runs much smoother than DR3 on my i7/GTX980/16gb Ram system. But that aside everything else was subpar from one of my favorite franchises of all time. I am about halfway through the story and have run into numerous glitches both graphical and gameplay wise. Several required reloading from checkpoint as a required kill was stuck in a wall or ran away so you couldn't save the survivor. Also there are MANY graphics issues (particularly with lighting and shadows). Also the AI was supposed to be improved... not what I would call it. I would wait the 6-12 months and let some patches come out before picking this up on STEAM...Almost certain the WindowsApps folder will prevent any modding so I would wait if I had it to do over again.

A Major Letdown All Around

This game has a lot of issues around it, so I'll keep it simple. It crashes when loading the game up constantly, regardless of everything being up to date or not. For some reason, when the game does work, 90% of the time the audio sounds horrible. This is because for some reason when I load the game, it makes my PC think I have an Xbox headset, which I have to disable in the Windows sound options. The gameplay itself is lacking compared to the other Dead Rising titles. I was up to level 50 on the first day. Nothing has presented itself as a challenge like the other titles in the series. Aside from that, the only positive note I can make is at least it looks good and plays decently.

Dead Rising game without all the deadline stuff.

As a huge Zombie game fan, the thing I hated MOST about DR1 was the deadline, I kept wanting to look through every store look at all the loot/weapons and just generally look everywhere and try to enjoy the experience, but I never complained there was a DEADline I just played it for what it was...a good zombie game. That's what I see with DR4, a good zombie game, and for some reason I had none of the posted issues, yeah it took awhile to download, but after that I rebooted my computer and the game started right up, the giant fist DLC downloaded AFTER the game was installed, and it logged into my Xbox account without issue and I was tweaking out the video in seconds, no rebooting or crashing to desktop nada. Played about 2 or 3 hours and never crashed once. Is the deadline gone, yeah I guess, but who cares I'm still running around the mall enjoying the zombie infested atmosphere and trying out different weapons and mini-games like the go cart racing one. Story is decent, I like it.
