Diffusion is a rather strange game that takes elements of physics, elegant, dreamlike visuals and a minimalist electronic soundtrack to produce a rather surreal game. The objective in Diffusion is to grow by absorbing other "motes". You propel yourself by ejecting matter behind you but you must be careful because ejecting matter also shrinks you. The overall effect is like flying around in some kind of giant bacteria swallowing other bacteria and growing as you go along. There are many levels to challenge you and it's quite soothing just navigating it through space with your mouse although it can be a bit tedious after a while. With nothing to do but just grow and grow, and challenged continually by the similar obstacles, the game lacks a little variation. However, Diffusion is beautifully put together with a hypnotic soundtrack that will certainly absorb you for a while. Diffusion is an unusual idea and an interesting concept although you may grow quite weary of it after a while.More

Neat concept...a little short on replay value but interesting game.More
The game could use a little more polish, but it's a nice short distraction. I didn't like the way winning was handled, it comes out of nowhere and is abrupt and final. I'm sure I could have lost if I could have kept playing after the game declared me winner.More
Not as good as ipad version
The app icon on the store uses a graphic from the ipad version but the game here has virtually zero artistic styling. I'll check it again after several updates.More
Presentation is everything
If you ever wonder whether presentation really matters, spend an afternoon completely engrossed in the original Osmos game (available on x86, but not available from Windows Store at this time, so not on RT), then install this copycat version that's only good for about 5 minutes of play. It looks nothing like the original and only has six levels. As noted elsewhere, the ending is extremely abrupt. Really disappointing, because I love Osmos. Hopefully the original team will release a true port.More
