A throwback down below

If you're someone who missed exploring the Dwarven Deep roads in Inquisition, as you could in Origins and 2, like I did then you're very much in luck. The Descent is just that, a trek into the Deep roads and as always, they're filled with Darkspawn. Although more linear than Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent makes up for this with it's own war table, allowing you to spend power to open new areas. Despite Darkspawn initially being the main story threat, I was slightly dissapointed to see them sidelined about halfway through to a focus about where lyrium comes from. Due to it's linear nature however, The Descent spends more time giving you dialogue with your party members and a few new npcs. The Descent is about 6 hours long if you choose to complete the new war table. But after getting to see so many familiar enemy types in the Darkspawn brought back, I wanted to see every inch of it. The Descent is an absolute treat for the nostalgic fan whose heartstrings will be tugged by it.

Not a must have

I loved the dwarves that you meet and some of the vast scenery but not worth the extra money. I did have the end spoiled but still, not as exciting as dragon hunting or big plots like in the palace.Didn't feel as consequential as it would like to seem

amazing simply amazing

the area design in the deep roads left me wanting more detail . except at the end cavern that had some great effects and art. often when i play this game i will stop to admire even just the paintings. this game has so many vibrant details and intricacies weaved into the game and its lore. i could easily beat the game in less than 50 hours but each play through i spend time to read the lore. On a beach i wont spoil on the backside of a rock the waves crash on tthem atop where you stand to watch is a chair and a table. i found many areas like this in the game where the developers thought wow what an amazing view. Now i know how god felt. i enjoy those details. im disabled and cant wnjoy the woods like i used too. So the immersion here in some areas take my f...ing breath away. thanks soooooo much for all your hard work bioware. allways a fan...mike walker
