On my 10th playthrough.

I find new things each time. I still love it. It needs a better way to import choices to the game. I don't like the DA keep. Character creation is better than previous games, and better than ME creator. It takes some getting used to, because tinkering with facial stucture has a learning curve. It needs to have Trespasser as free or included in base game, because a significant portion of the story is missing without it. Those who have it tend to enjoy the game more, so I wish more people knew the full story. I recommend a Solas romance for those who own Trespasser. It adds to it significantly. I love the complex companions in this best. I still prefer DA2 combat, and the cool downs seem excessive at times. Dragon slaying is best here. I still don't play multiplayer, and feel the game would be better served if those resources were dedicated to making the rpg aspects stronger. People don't buy rpg to play multiplayer battles, and if they do there are better ones.

This classic has a soft spot in my heart!

I love this game. Hours upon hours where repitition doesn't bore me to death (like in most games). Great graphics, story, lore, characters to interact with. For being one of the earliest releases for Xbox One this game has staying power. You can import data from earlier titles (think Mass Effect series) and will see familiar faces. The game can feel like two stories, but consider it chapters in one game. I cannot tell you about the extra DLC stories, I haven't purchased them.

Cant look away!

Love it all! Wish sales at lauch were better for longer support and possibly even more dlc.

Great Game, Single Player and Multiplayer!

you can take this game on a quick playthrough or really immerse yourself in it and utilize the customizable options for equiptment, gear, surrondings, etc and exploit hidden combat mechanics. on the 360 i only had the original game without any dlc and still found upon hundreds of hours to be found in the campaign..not to mention the multiplayer(which all dlc is free) which some will find addicting in itself. For me it was a no brainer and grabbed the GOY edition for the xbox one as well. So nice, i bought it twice. I also had not played any other dragon age games and just like mass effect 3 ,i had never really felt out of place or to confused.. there is enough back story and lore to be found if interested. Thedas is waiting to be saved! Become Legoendary!

Best game they have made

Hours of gameplay and a beautiful open world to explore. Romances feel real and I have fallen in love with all of the followers. All in all an amazing game❤👍

Good RPG but not great feels like an mmorpg......

Its story, characters, lore, and dialogue is all there and is game's saving grace. Love its huge world but not a fan of it's new UI and combat it's to limited, repetitive, and felt like it was tailored more to a multiplayer mode not a campaign in an RPG where you want access to as many spells/skills as possible during battle not less. It feels like they got lazy and just gave campaign same UI they wanted in multiplayer instead of seperating both game modes and giving campaign its own UI as it's normally done and campaign in that aspect suffers for it. Lastly there are fetch quests and game can feel like a mmorpg at times more so then an actual AAA RPG we are use to getting from Bioware that hurts game too. So for those reasons it's a good game but not great or on the level that we are use to getting from bioware team originally.

Fantastic Storyline & Romance

This game is very detailed and places you into the iquisitor's shoes. The characters have detailed personalities for the most part. The romance storylines are thorough and diverse. Every choice you make has a ripple effect and leaves you even more involved than before. Definitely a game worth paying for.

not fun for 2 handed weapon warriors

I love the series, but combat is slugish and boring for 2 handed weapon warriors. if your ablities are on cooldown you are stuck holding RT while watching slow swinging auto-attacks. Melee combat was much more fun in Dragon Age 2....even Origins.. 😢

Great Story, Disappointing Side Narratives

The main story is great, it has ALMOST everything we've come to expect from a BioWare game: great lore, climactic events, and meaningful characters. However, there are not nearly as many meaningful choices in the game, unlike Origins which had PLENTY. Many choices only add operations on the war table, which give the game a larger sense of scale, but make the choices seem nonessential. Grinding through huge areas is fun at first, but quickly becomes a chore with the uninteresting side plots. The only reason I kept exploring was to do companion quests and to kill dragons (which are spectacular boss fights). The characters are very strong, with only a couple of weak characters. Romance in this game is pretty disappointing, the relationships were great, but as a heterosexual male player, there only two characters to pursue... both still good though. Combat is a lot less tactical then Origins, but more action oriented. Overall, a great improvement to DA2, but not perfect. Still recommend.

Riku of Chaos

I truly love this game for its characters. However I dislike that the story does not feel as in depth as it could be as well as the glitches. It feels as though once GOTY came out they dropped this game while leaving in some mean glitches (elemental mines).
