Description

The DSLR Toolbox has two primary functions: it is a depth of field calculator and an angle of view calculator. Providing the focal length, the aperture and the distance to the subject, with the depth of field calculator you can estimate which part of the scenery will be sharp in your photography. Or calculate the minimal aperture needed to picture a certain depth in acceptable sharpness. The angle of view calculator tells you the horizontal, vertical and diagonal angle of view for a certain focal length and shows how many pictures you need to take for a 360° panorama. Or you enter the desired amount of pictures, and it calculates the focal length you need. The DSLR Toolbox has a predefined list for 15 common sensor types and also supports various fisheye lenses. Version 1.1 - Corrected angle of view calculations - Added list of predefined aperture values (tap on the aperture field twice to show keyboard) - Swapped keyboard layout - Adjusted font size for better readability Version 1.2 - Recompiled for upcoming Windows Phone 7 update Version 1.2 - New icons - Improved performance

Useful! Expected it to be more than just a calculator though.

Wish someone could explain or point this novice photographer to what exactly I can do with this on my phone. I see panorama in the settings... Any one care to share, email me rhyno811@gmail.com. 5 Stars because it seems legit, but my lack of understanding stops me from utilizing it.

Does the job well. Thx for making this free. Hopefully the developer add slider for input and able to save multiple lens config like winmodof in wm5/6. Please don't downranked this apps because of your ignorance with photography. This is a very useful apps.

Really like this app. For those that don't get what the app is for you need to understand depth of field and how different sensor sizes will effect it. It may not be a necessity, but it sure doesn't hurt to have it.

I get a kick of all the one star reviews when they don't even know what it does. Rating a program one star because of your own ignorance is the definition of it. Anyway, love the app for quick DOF settings, easy to use and displays the information in a concise manner. Photography people, photography.
