It's okay I guess

When compared to past DLCs from Bethesda such as Dawnguard, this first dlc for Fallout 4 seems rather disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the robot customization is superb. I quickly found myself attached to my own doomsday machine. However, the quest line that comes with the dlc is extremely boring. The best thing about it is the very detailed yet mysterious RoboBrain facility you explore for the last quest. I absolutely fell in love with this dungeon and wanted it so desperately to be a bigger part of the dlc. Unfortunately the facility and robot customization wasn't enough to make up for the painfully short guest line.

This is a great DLC! In this you can build and customize your own robots. But I did find the last level hard at some points. I would rate it 4.5 stars!

Huge Upset

Well the addon felt like a fan built mod, and not in a good way. Tell me how a single, short quest line is worth this cost. We could have created a more interesting quest line to follow in a forum. Not at all what it should have been.

Robots Galore!

This DLC is small but somewhat satisfying. It adds several things such as more robots (most of which are cobbled together with various different parts of robots), the Rust Devils (new type of raiders), the ability to build your own robot and customize it, as well as a new quest. The new enemies can pop up on you at random and some of them can be quite difficult as their parts vary so you can have an Assaultron head on top of a Sentry body. Overall, it's a decent DLC which adds more danger to this wasteland.

Childhood dreams. Achieved.

If you are a true gamer, when you play Fallout and you see that sentrybot you just detroyed, burning on the ground, you think to yourself, "Man i wish i could have one of those follow me around and fight for me". This add on gives you exaclty what you want, and then some. Beautiful DLC.

Too short, too pricey.

This DLC was a major disappointment to me. It's $20 for what amounts to a handful of boring and repetitive missions. You get a new upgradeable companion which is kind of cool at first but slowly gets annoying, especially if you use the Sentry Boy Leg upgrades. Because they are so large the companion becomes almost useless indoors. You get new Robot Parts by destroying Robots that have them installed. Allowing you to cannibalize the bots for parts to upgrade your own. As you find parts it unlocks schematics so you can make more if you need. It was fun hunting down the bots to farm for upgrades. However, once you beat the main villian all the blueprints are automatically unlocked. Even the "Raider" mods. Which makes little to no sense. Now there's no need to track down any more robots. DLC done. I beat this DLC in around three hours. So It felt kind of wasted and rushed.

This dlc is worth $10 dollars. It's really just a few dungeons and crafting. The dungeons are top notch though, and the story is enjoyable, albeit predictable. The real meat of the dlc is in the crafting though. There are a wide variety of options for making your own companion, but I was a little dissapointed that you couldn't make the different versions of protectrons, or my own little Eyebot Duraframe subject-E to be my companion, rather than a drone to search out for crafting materials. Also, you only gain access to most of the building options AFTER the dlc is completed.
