Looks very nice so far. With a few quibbles.
I finally subscribed to the FT after decade long absence. It's the best news source around. I was feeling a little orphaned as I saw apps for IOS and Android but not Windows until I stumbled across this. Have only used it briefly but it seems very nice. I would appreciate an app for Windows Phone and hope that one will be coming with the advent of Universal Apps for Windows. After a week, I still like it, ran into a problem. Played a video from the menu selections and then could not find a way back. A right click displayed a number of the usual sections of the site at the top, but none could be accessed. Clicking on them resulted in "Section not found" messages.More
Best app on Win 8.1
Smooth, intuitive, just like the paper FT Update: Live Tile won't refresh unless I open the app.More
The dedicated application is intuitive. My problem is that the application doesn't support the links when swiping down from the top of the screen and selection a section.More
I LOVE the redesign
I can finally see the pictures that accompany Rowley's articles. I cooked that risotto last night and it got great reviews from the wife and my toughest critic of all: my 4 year old. Anyway, the new layout's great. 4 stars for now. Hopefully no bugs will prevent me from boosting this to a 5 in the near future.More
Good, but needs social media integration
Kudos to FT for developing this app early in the game. What they need now is social media integration and a way to share interesting articles via Facebook, Twitter, etc.More
Looks useful, currently testing
I've looked at and uninstalled half a dozen of these so far on my new Win8 machine. I like the ''My Portfolio" feature, but why can't it track commodities? I would like to track the value of my gold/silver holdings and can only do this a 'other'. Please fix or I'll find another app.More
Good to read, but share doesn't work.
The app pulls everything down well and has a good reading experience. However, there is no way to share or find the article on the web. That the app does not present a url anywhere is a serious issue.More
A good app but
Ft has made a good windows 8 app the reminds me of their html 5 app for the iPad. Unfortunately I have yet to see really stand out features or reporting that would make me (somebody who is enjoying the free app) want to purchase one of their very expensive subscriptions . I think that it the video were able to be in HD and maybe a better introduction on how to use the app and it would be perfect or close too itMore
Once great but they are ending windows support
Too bad. Was really excellentMore
