What a pleasure

From five minutes in, right until the credits rolled, i was hooked. The story plays out so naturally that it felt almost like i had been there before. I had joked like that, felt speechless like that, and even felt lost like that before. The environment was beautiful, and felt alive because of the attention paid to the little things. I am looking forward to another playthrough with commentary from the devs, not only to hear a bit of what they were thinking, but to spend just a bit more time out there in the woods.

It Put A Piton In My Expectations

Y'know, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from the trailer. Is it an action game? A survival game? Neither. The game is a perfectly-paced and extremely well executed narrative about... well... your own personal psyche. What would you do if you were in Henry's shoes? Take the time to get to know Firewatch, its characters (or lack thereof), and fully appreciate this title that makes you think and feel so much, without even really showing you anyone else.

Great game. Well worth the price!

Pretty awesome story line with multiple dialogues for the choices you make. Also has a free roam mode for exploration and achievement hunting and commentary mode for those interested in a replay with a little info about the game design and structure.

Great game, unlike anything I've played before.

This was a refreshing and exciting game that I played all the way through in one sitting. That's not to say that it was too short, simply that I was immediately hooked. The story is fascinating and will really draw you in. The gameplay itself is very fluid and well done. I'm a sucker for graphics. Some people say, "Graphics don't matter!" I disagree. I love good graphics and believe that they add a lot to a game. Firewatch has gorgeous graphics. They're not uber-realistic, the developers went for a more cartoonish feel, but it absolutely works and it's absolutely beautiful. The only gripe I have about this game is that the ending felt rather empty. It isn't a bad ending by any means, but it didn't feel all that satisfying, either. I highly enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anybody. The story, gameplay and graphics all come together in a gorgeous way to make a fantastic game. While the ending feels a bit empty, it doesn't compromise a wonderful gaming experience.

Well Worth The Price!

Seems many think this is a triple A title and enjoy bashing on it. This is a budget game which is why it's not $60 dollars. This a great foundation to build off of. A refreshing change unique and original story based mystery puzzle explorer. Very addictive and charming graphics once you start it's hard to stop. It's not over once you've beating it because you can play it again and make different choices. As well as a free roam option that becomes available after first play through. I truly hope to see a sequel to this title with a bigger budget and a little polish, would easily make this a 5 star title.

Captivating story | Immersive character | Suspenseful

The story is captivating and gets pretty deep as you go along. You have some influence to how things play out, but there is of course a main, general direction the story takes you. It feels as though you are acting out a suspense novel or movie. It isn't a difficult or fast paced game. You can actually complete it in a day if you have the time. That is my only real complaint, I liked it so much I just wish there were more. That being said, this is a fantastic, well made game with a great story. Highly recommend it, especially if you can get it on sale.

The graphics are stunning, the story keeps you interested and the controls are easy to learn. It's just an all around great game that I played entirely the moment I bought it because I was just so wrapped up in the story. I really hope that the developers make another amazing game.

Great story driven game that keeps you guessing until the end. Worth every penny of the $10 sale price, but slightly off controls and a complete experience at the 4.5 hour mark make this a meh choice for $20. Keep Firewatch in your mind and grab it the moment it goes on sale again.

What a game! Not the fastest paced game but the story and dialouge are amzingly captivating. Very unique and just gorgeous. I got the game during a sale but I wouldnt mind paying the full price because its easy to tell that a lot care and effort went into making it great. I do wish the game was longer and a bit scarier but its still a five star game to me.
