Great Game, Optimization

Great Game, but the optimization is sub-par. In some places its all flying colors and ice cream and other places get less that 4 fps on my AMD 8320 Octa-Core, 16GB ddr3 2133, and a 6GB NVidia 1060. Other than that, the game averages 40fps in most places, with dips into the lower 30s in the city. Great game, great cars, great world.

Great concept and visuals, poor implementation.

The game looks amazing, cars handle great, little difficult learning curve but it's fun once you've adjusted. Using an FX-8350 and GTX 970 I have to lock at 30fps to get a stable framerate, and even then I get dips down to 20fps in certain areas. The game prefers to only use one or two cores instead of all 8, and the encryption is very CPU intensive. It's poorly optimized for PC 8-cores even though it's amazingly optimized for the 8-core Xbox One. The latest patch released a dev version which nobody can play. So now the game is completely broken. Can't even get past the main screen. Of course this was after a 58GB download, so I will probably have to download it all again just to play once they finally fix it. Hello data overage charges.

Great Game, but it crashes

Although the game is great (and loads of fun!), but it is difficult to play with how frequently it crashes. I have even re-installed onto an SSD, turned down graphics (Although I should have NO issues with that), turned off additional monitors (Rumored fix), turned off microphone (Known issue by Turn 10) and it still crashes. They have even come out with a DLC before fixing KNOWN issues. Will not spend any more money on Turn 10 products until PC users get support and a fix! If addressed, I will re-rate.

Great game, runs flawlessly for me

I've read many of the reviews of the game, so I wanted to write a review. I haven't really had any issues with the game. I've only had about 4 random crashes and that's pretty much it. I have an i7 and GTX 1080, I run the game upscaled to 4k and see somewhere around 80fps. I've never gotten any stuttering at all. Also, for me and using the Xbox App to play with friends on Xbox One, has worked flawlessly. It is easy to jump into their game sessions. I also have an Xbox one, so when I jump on there, I can pick up where I left off from my PC, the syncing works pretty quickly. Just not as pretty, even though I have my Xbox One hooked up to a 4k TV. Overall, this game is a ton of fun and I've had very little issues with it.

Best Horizon to date...but

First off I'm a simulation racer and the Forza franchise is my passion. Forza 6 is one of the best, if not the best simulation racing games of its time. Forza Horizon 3 has definitely stepped up to a whole new level of open world racing. The Horizon story line is unique and FH3 makes it interesting, raising the reply value immensely. As for the graphics... WOW! Amazing job to Playground and Turn 10. The only flaws in the game I could "nit pick" at is the sound and the small glitches (like getting stuck on structures with no way to reset, etc...) The feel of the cars are much better than previous Horizon titles and mix the fun of arcade with the precision of simulation racing. All in all, I love FH3. I would have liked to have seen more features that are in Forza 6 like the ability to sell cars and test tunes/upgrades before saving but I have to say... coming from a Forza 6 addict, I'm now hooked on Forza Horizon 3!!!

Still waiting for them to fix it

I loved the game when it ran properly but now all it does is run horribly, lock you out of the files so you can't do anything about it and has an awful stuttering issue.

Excellent game but....

An awesome game. Lots of different things to do, excellent scenery. Car's handling is a bit crazy, but it's an arcade racer. The car interior is great and I like the fact that even when I'm not playing, my Drivatar is still earning money and what not. I like the variety of cars and the fact that you can either stick with the regular engine and swap it for something ridiculous. My only two grips are Engine notes (not a big problem, but after playing Need for Speed, it is noticeable) and lack of free fast travel to areas I've been to (sometimes I really don't feel like driving across the map for a barn find I had already been near). Engine notes aren't bad as the 4 sounds of the Crew, but not as precise as Need for Speed. Other than that I have no big gripes about the game. Also if you have a AMD card of CPU, be sure to get the update driver 16.10.3 directly from AMDs website. It's specifies FH3. I had the crash issue and since updating haven't had any issues since.

So Close

A great combination of beautiful graphics and strong gameplay, this game really performs. However, the instability of the sound quality paired with the woefully inept AI system really hinder an otherwise great game.

Super Fun!

I love Forza in gerneral, Horizon is even better and FH3 is fantastic, lots of roaming, jumping and speeding. Great online play as well.
