Description

Our tastes are different, so why should we get the same search results? The new Foursquare learns what you like and leads you to places you’ll love. Foursquare is all about searching and discovering great places, wherever you are in the world. • Tell Foursquare your favorite things and it gets to know you. Every search is tailored to your tastes, your past ratings, and picks from friends and experts you trust. • Your tastes can be very specific like “whiskey” or “salted caramel.” Or more general like “outdoor seating” or “used bookstores.” • Leave tips to share your best discoveries. Pay it forward and earn expertise. • Search for restaurants, coffee, nightlife, shops and more. See what’s nearby or plan ahead. • When you arrive at a place, see insider tips: what’s good to order or something not to miss. • Follow people and influencers whose tastes you trust, and their tips show first. Connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts and see spots your friends have liked nearby. Ready for new adventures? Download the all-new Foursquare today. Want to check in, keep up, and meet up with friends? Download our other new app, Swarm

The new app design is nice. Everything IMO is easier to navigate. Love the new map features. The live tile doesn't seem to be working, but maybe it's taking its time to kick in. Either way, not a big issue. UPDATE! Current update broke this app. I tried uninstalling and installing again. The app will not launch.

It's fine.

Hits many of the foursquare features relatively well. Navigating the app is a little difficult. I sometimes wish they would just port the iOS app.

Make the universal app. PLEASE!

Please make it universal because the UI off this app is a little bit more confusing! But the idea of Foursquer is awesome and i appreciate you. Thanks.👌🏼👍🏼

Must have companion for Windows Maps

In my country (Trinidad and Tobago) the map data is pathetically depressing so try definitely helps to have Foursquare available for finding places nearby. From there you can tap the little map preview and you're good to go!

It's funny share with others your geo location, share places you like or don't, and Foursquare works good doing this.

Coming from the old version this one is nice. ..but pictures needs captions desperately -1. I noticed, using the yelp trick to default sort by "best nearby" are these promoted? We should know. Let us set default to distance. Update: Also highlighting on 3-4 year tips is a bad idea, some of the places with 90s just don't deserve them (-1) ends up ruining the experience. I m just starting to loose faith.

I prefer the new menu and navigation system. It is more intuitive and straight forward. The old one might look nicer but it is horrible to navigate. Performance wise I definitely felt it is more fluid and responsive overall. I understand sometimes you can get over indulge trying to fit the blue theme. But, the old color scheme is still more easy on the eyes.

After many versions on Windows phone, this one nails it in terms of speed and usability. Yes, they split it into 2 apps, but they swap between the two seamlessly and if people stop complaining and just try it for a bit they'll see it's not that bad. Well, there's no points and badges, but the tips and other data is more useful to me when I'm in cities I'm not familiar with
