Use this almost every day

I like to support what I can. And this is an app it seems no one has ever mentioned, and yet ir has been around since windows phone 7?. I paid the price back then and am still using it now.. LOVE IT!!! Plus it works in windows 10... This is a great example of something done right... Thank you Garmin.

I wish I could give this app a higher rating. I have used it for two years and have extensive experience with it. Pros: strong GPS app, integrated Foursquare, Facebook, and Google info, traffic info, suggestions etc. I love the "auto-check in" feature when arriving at your destination. Cons: this app has overheated TWO of my phones consistently (the only way to really keep it running is to have it in front of my AC vent), there needs to be route choices such as "shortest distance" or "shortest time" or "scenic route". As I said, I have used this app for about two years, but I have not seen any significant updates or fixes to it. Another desire (that has been mentioned by many others) is full integration into Windows phone so you can default to open Garmin from searches. The overheating thing (and eventual locking up of my phone) is the killer for me. Conclusion: Despite my complaints, there really is no better GPS app for Windows Phone (the Nokia apps are ok, but lacking).

Great and simple with solid cues that make driving easier. The only HUGE downside is that it does not integrate into nav options like Here Drive, Navigon and others. It needs this feature!!!

The best navigation package I could find for Windows Phone 8. It takes a little longer than I'd like to get the GPS location (probably waiting for a little too hood coordinates) and I really wish it was integrated with the Windows phone 8 Drive To feature, but it makes up for most of that with accurate fast search for POIs and map to contacts in address book. The navigation voice is a bit muffled, but it definitely gets the job done and is better than any other package I've found. No offline maps, but there are no service fees. So far I think it was worth the $30. Update: this app does show up in local search app section (swipe to the apps tab) , so I'm quite happy :)

Great app! I just switched from Android to Windows phone. I was a bit apprehensive about loosing Google Navigation, but this app is definitely an upgrade even though I had to pay for it. Garmin's rerouting feature works better than Google's. I also like the speed limit feature and a few of the other whimsical items. Caching would be the only missing feature.

The latest update made this app even BETTER! Now browsing a map while navigating is fluid and natural. Great app, (despite the useless demo). Works flawlessly on my LG running Mango PROS •Significantly easier to use while driving vs Mango's upgraded Bing Maps •Turn by turn directions are audible over bluetooth and directions don't conflict with an ongoing call (neither works well in Bing Maps) •Intersections are made easier to navigate thanks to real life pictures of the actual intersection •Google Maps integration and POIs •Airline flight status CONS •Requires an internet connection (so expensive in foreign countries) •Expensive

For the price I had expected very robust software, maybe not feature complete, but certainly stable. But not yet managed to do journey where it doesn't hang, lose lock and position. Once it does so, it never recovers. I have the full version and unlimited data. Trial limitations were disappointing - not even one routed journey - but then had I bought the trial I would likely not have bought the software. I have a Garmin streetmate in my car so I had the two side by side - clear view of satellites was not the issue. (Phone is Samsung Focus). I hope there is an update soon. Love Garmin products normally.

I love this app. The only thing is I wish you could be in 3D view while on view map and also I wish it had speed limit in this view as well. I love being able to tell the up-to-date traffic! Thanks Garmin

First, please stop rating this app based on the trial. The trial is indeed very limiting, but is not indicative of the full app. If you are familiar with Garmin gps devices, this app faithfully reproduces that experience on WP7. Never had any issue with updating or GPS lock. The presentation is excellent and the speed limit alert is a nice touch. Have used extensively on several trips, and Garmin has found the destination every time. Very nice app!

Absolutely horrible. This thing must use the compass for direction because it just starts spinning around wildly at times, the car is drawn on the middle of the screen, and somehow Garmin does not understand the concept of 2D mode. Directions are not excellent either. Probably the few redeeming features are: it displays the speed limit on screen, screen is easy enough to read, uses Google search for items nearby, and the program is easy enough to use. There's promise, but like a poor marksman it keeps missing the target.
