One of the things people do when they switch phones is try to keep their apps consistent. Sometimes that works out great, but in the case of iHeart Radio, not so much. Anytime its NOT connected to a WiFi network, it just won't function. Which is ironic, considering T-Mobile touts the app as one of the streaming services that doesn't count towards your data. When I had the BlackBerry version, connecting via my cellular network never failed. I could always listen to my favorite stations back in LA. Can't do that now with this Windows version. Maybe iHeart Media should take some of that money they waste on Rush Limbaugh and put it towards getting some decent coders to fix the app...

The downside: Connectivity issues, buffer lagging, and force closes, even over Wi-Fi. Also, does not have a user favorites auto-generated channel based on thumbs up ratings. Lastly, skip limits and advertisements. Otherwise, this is still the best free app for customized music playlists and live radio streaming. Improved performance and a favorites channel would bring it to five stars.

Indispensable, but clunky & glitchy

I use this app ALL THE TIME. However, the interface stinks. So much swiping and tapping to get to your favorite stations. Is anybody really interested in exploring all those options EVERY TIME the app is opened? It's like having to go through every knob on your car radio every time you get in. Also, when the phone rings, you have to go back to the beginning of the process to listen again. You can't just restart the station. Randomly crashes. Closing the app does not stop the stream. You have to find the pause button from volume control to stop. I have reinstalled several times to see if better. Finally, why are there two versions of the app on the store with little info to differentiate them?

I like listening but the app is unstable on my windows phone. I'm lucky if it works for more than a few hours without stalling and needing to restart app.

This is my favorite music streaming app, however it rarely updates to show the correct now playing and listen history information. This is frustrating because I can't rate whether I like a song or not or even see the name and artist for a new song I like.

Not bad but some stations repeat to much same stuff.
