Description

Instagram is a simple way to capture and share the world’s moments. Follow your friends and family to see what they’re up to, and discover accounts from all over the world that are sharing things you love. Join the community of over 500 million people and express yourself by sharing all the moments of your day––the highlights and everything in between, too. Use Instagram to: • Post photos and videos you want to keep on your profile grid. Edit them with filters and creative tools, and combine multiple clips into one video. • Share multiple photos and videos (as many as you want!) to your story. Bring them to life with text and drawing tools. They disappear after 24 hours and won't appear on your profile grid or in feed. • Watch stories from the people you follow in a bar at the top of your feed. View them at your own pace. • Discover photos and videos you might like and follow new accounts in the Explore tab. • Send private messages, photos, videos and posts from your feed directly to friends with Instagram Direct. • Instantly share your posts to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and other social networks. Keep in mind that other devices running Windows 10 may not support certain features, like the ability to capture and upload photos and videos.

"Use your webcam"

No, it doesn't! The argument that it was only designed to be used for posting by phone doesn't hold water: if you can use all the other features on a computer, disabling the camera/upload feature is just petty and small minded. To offer one example to the peevish designers, I could use my webcam (which has a long cable) to reach out the window and post a shot of the blooming frangipanis in my backyard, which is just as relevant and valid as any similar shot using a cell-phone. This app was obviously hobbled by pathetic, overbearing control-freaks, which utterly contradicts the whole concept of what IG stands for.

Lots of problems should be solved

Though it is a good app to use, but there are some problems to solve when it comes to Windows 10. Cannot post pictures, cannot see multiple photos, crashes when seeing videos and cannot send photos in DM. This is really makes me uncomfortable to use this app. It will be perfect if you consider solving these problems. Thx!

Love both Mobile and PC versions

The PC version doesn't allow for multiple pics per post so I constantly switch back and forth between PC and mobile. Overall, enjoy both platforms.

Worked pretty well but now its garbage

The thing I hate about it is with this kind of phone, the navigation bar gets in the way when I wanna text people, I can't go live, and I can't go to certain links because my phone will exit out the app, but overall its not that bad. I would use a different phone tho for this app cuz it sucks to use it with my phone. I'm starting to change my mind it sucks more and more. I can't even log in anymore and with these stupid check-in things I never get the message y can't I just use my email cuz this stupid piece of garbage doesn't work.

Better than before

It's way better than the old Instagram beta that we were stuck with on windows 8.1, that's for sure. Wish we could have the other capabilities that android and iOS has (like live video, etc) but I'm grateful with what we have for now. Thanks Microsoft 😁

Disappearing notifications

I am not sure if this is a Windows or app issue but notifications disappear all together once I click on one and open the Instagram app. The poor experience is now similar to Android.

Just one thing.......

The only problem I have Instagram on a PC is that I can't post/upload, being used to uploading from a iPhone makes it even more frustrating bc I have photos that I cannot access on my phone....I'm sure I'm not the only one with these problems!!

needs something...

The app is responsive and well put, but a recent update in the official Instagram app (on mobile) allows you to have multiple pictures in one post. Without a touchscreen monitor, which I don't have, I can't check on the multiple pictures that are in that one post. Is there a way you guys can make it so that there is at least some arrows that you can click on to scroll from right to left and vice versa? Anything will do as long as we can see the multiple pictures. Please take this into consideration. Thanks!
