Lemmings is a puzzle-platformer video game originally developed for the Amiga by DMA Design and published by Psygnosis in 1991. The basic objective of the game is to guide a group of humanoid lemmings through a number of obstacles to a designated exit. In order to save the required number of lemmings to win, one must determine how to assign a limited number of eight different skills to specific lemmings that allow the selected lemming to alter the landscape, to affect the behavior of other lemmings, or to clear obstacles in order to create a safe passage for the rest of the lemmings. This version for Windows 8 has a rebuilt game engine and some new graphic elements, but the focus has been to preserve the look and feel from the original version(s).More

Bringing back memories
Runs great on my dell venue 8 proMore
I love this game, but this is too slow!
I have an above average machine and this game just runs too slow to be fun. In several cases you don't have enough time to have your lemmings walk from A to Z. With a few updates performance wise it could be great!More
Good but buggy
Some bugs in this version. - Lemmings sometimes teleport accross the map. - Sometimes assigning a lemming the count goes down but the lemming doesn't get the effect. - The explosion sprite looks horrible, particle effects in the original were way better. - Nuke explosions seem to happen at the same time whereas in the originals the timers staggered a bit and made for a more fun outcome. But it's free and still fun to play, especially if not comparing to original/earlier versions.More
lots of glitches
I still have some of the old floppies of this game but nowhere to plug them in now :). Some of the levels are impossible to play because of the glitches, but still quite a few levels that do work.More
Lemmings is awesome. This Windows version is terrible.
The game Lemmings is fantastic. I remember it from my youth and would love to introduce my kids to it. But this Windows version is full of glitches and bugs. I hope there's a polished version of this game released for Windows. That would be worth paying for. This version is interesting for 5 minutes, until one gets too irritated by the glitches.More
Great nostalgia hit! (some glitches)
I used to play this on the old computers at primary school, I remembered about it the other day and was glad to find it here , all the original levels and music as they once were, except for some annoying glitches e.g. lemmings falling through platforms they shouldn't be able to fall through, lemmings glitching in mid-air and not moving, but it's not too often and it's a great puzzle game :)More
Game stops at Lock up our lemmings level. I have beaten the level, but cannot continue.More
Could Be Great
Loved the original game but this one simply doesn't work. Freezes up, laggy, and doesn't register my actions.More
A little glitch but...
Made it through fun and tricky levels now on to 'taxing.' Things that need fixing: The angle of the miners is too steep. Having issues with taxing level 1. Also, I believe you should be able to switch a lemming in the middle of its task. I.E. if I have a lemming digging, I should be able to turn him into a brick layer guy. I think the only thing you can do to stop them is to blow them up. Please fix.!!!!More
Great game, a few rough spots
I love this classic game, and this is a good look and feel of the original. The only problem is that at level 30, even if you save ALL the lemmings, it doesn't go to the next level, it just repeats level 30. It tells you you have won the level but it won't go on from there. I hope a fix comes soon for this, I would love to play the higher levels.More
