BEST GAME EVER

I think that this game is the best single player game ever.I love the whole concept, its absolutely phenomenal. From the dark beauty to the gore.Dont even let me get started on the story.Actually the most interesting and amazing storyline ive ever seen. This game brings you close to the characters for a fun but tearjerking experience.I loved the variety of guns and costomizable feature.I loved the ending even though it almost had me in tears. This was one of my greatest game experiences in my life and i thank the creators with all my heart and soul for making me be able to play such and extraordinary and fantastic game ever. This rating also goes for Metro Last Light. The only thing that i dont like which is not about the actual gameplay is that i havent heard about another Metro game release.Thank. you so very much for the opportunity have a absolutely extrordinary day.

BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!!!!!! 😺

Ok, First off, the story was the best ive played in forever... This game makes fallout look like crap.. it almost matches the books, and lots of mutants/facist Russians to attack. lots of toys to play with (my favorite being a bloody flamethrower) but all in all its the best if your looking for a post-nucular game other than fallout 4

Solidly Addictive Fun

I LOVE these games, much more than I ever expected. The gameplay is solid and fast paced with an engaging and deeply felt storyline, especially if you pay attention to the details. I have typically been more of an RPG/Adventure gamer than playing many shooters, and the gameplay was challenging but also rewarding. I enjoyed the dark sci-fi future apocalypse Russia so much that I plan to read the book now. This felt to me that it had more depth and texture to it than many shooters, and it also just had a certain je ne sais quoi. Just love it. The price is criminally low, given the makers' obvious love for their game. Dark, crunchy goodness in every bite. 👍

Its a great game

But the original was better. The stealth system is butchered to non-existence, flashlights go through cover a lot, enemies can see you in straight darkness, you can barely kill someone stealthly without get noticed a lot of the times. The developers practically want you to just go in guns blazing. Up side is I barely ran into any glitches (besides some dead bodies getting stuck in walls, but that doesn't bother me) so that's that, but many game mechanics are just broken, which were fine in the original one.

why did they remake this?

its just no good. boring, dumb controls, and you get to equip a lighter in one hand with a clipboard in the other.... it wants to be an action shooter that has little to no shooting, then it tries to be a survival horror, without the horror.

Only 2 star, for now.

Well, haven't gotten to far into it at all. Felt I'd seen enough to give an inital review. Get to the point. The begining is long and over dramatic. Movement isn't very fluid and clunky. Honestly don't know if I'll play much further into it. Got as part of SR/Metro bundle for 11 dollars, pretty much a steal. If I ever get around to playing through it, I might re-review it. For now though, just 2 stars.

Great but Overrated

It's praised for being an astounding survival game but yet is the most unbalanced survival game I have ever experienced. There are many things I want to complain about but you can msg me @ Je Javier if you reall want to hear about that. But this game can be stunning at points with it's great writing and beautiful environments but the combat mechanic observed at whole, is broken.

Solid and fun FPS.

This was a great game. The story and atmosphere were really well done. It allows for both loud and stealthy game play with the AI reacting fairly well to both. The weapons even have some customization to aid your play style. The levels are fairly linear but theres room to roam and be rewarded for doing so in each. Achievements are straght foward and allow chapter select. You will need 2 play throughs to get %100. Overall, well worth the time and an amazing game.

Surprise Hit

I really can't get over how much I loved this game. Obviously has a post apocalyptic setting which is used in innovative ways and isn't just 'background'. This definitely not a RPG, but it's way more than a FPS. I suggest turning up the difficulty to get the most out of the game as it forces a different more strategic style of play using stealth and cover and wise use of resources (the constant checkpoints reinforce the suspicion that this how it's meant to be played). The levels become like a bunch of small challenges to work through one at a time instead of rushing nonstop COD style. The sequel is equally as good (possibly better) but different & they need to be experienced together.
