I have always really Loved this App here.
I have always though this was a really Good and Well thought of App. But as You probably Noticed here. I have only given the App a Maxim of 3 Stars here. Because of a Few issues with it here. I really do Appreciate or like the Fact that it is Basically a Free app here now. I know that You had to Contribute or Donate to the Author of Developer here to get Full functionally out of the App here. So I can Remember. I still also think it has One of the Best all Around Photo viewers here to. Still would like to See auto update in the App here as Well to. Right now You have to Manually update Your news feed and what not here. Also I can understand Why it Defaults to the Mobile version of FB sometimes. Be can be Annoying sometimes. Also the Share Charm is not as Good as it used to be. Tech Support could be better to. Sticky Notifications are not Good either. Other then some of the Cons it is a really Good over all FB App here. Check-In would also be Nice. Some of the Cons keep it from 4 Stars.More
Can't share posts from others not view my complete friends list, just recently updated; to do so one must resort to the web view. In that case, why even bother with this application an use the existing web browser instead. The web view should be abandoned in favor of a full featured Metro interface. This app has great potential, but it's not ready for prime time. I'm removing it and will revisit at a later dateMore
What a Win8 FB app should be
The others are repackaged versions of the web site. This one looks and operates like a Windows 8 application. And does so very well.More
Good start! -UPDATE-
Can't wait to see how this develops. -Update- Latest update introduced Facebook Sharing from other apps and it's the most complete sharing experience available. Live Tiles also landed, it just needs better quality images. This is the best Facebook app on Windows 8 already! Keep it the good work! LiveMore
Great UI for Windows 8
First off, I would like to say that I am glad there is a great looking app out there now for Facebook. Also, knowing that it isn't from Facebook, makes me a little happier. Great job on the UX/UI of this app. So few devs out there get the idea of the Modern UI and mess it up too often. Can't wait to see how far this app goes.More
The Best Social News Feed App on the Market!
I love the web integration button, Facebook support page, and that this is truly a functional, full featured app utilizing Metro 8's above the folder UX, while maintaining rolling columns for max data. Some ideas: get your live tile working, lock screen alert integration, quick tagging or short cut through quick box, friend status prioritization, multiple newsfeed view i.e. family, news sources, friends, and finally quick links to favorite people. Best social feed app on the market!!!More
App took 30+ seconds to progress past the splashscreen on an x86 machine. After signing in, I had to sign in again to Facebook's mobile site. The app could've easily persisted the username and password passed to WebAuthBroker and logged me in automatically. Newsfeed contains only 10 out of the 30+ different posts I come across if I use the actual website. Can't watch videos linked in people's statuses have to manually copy & paste. Huge white space under my name. Why?More
..it's too complicated to see new messages. I always have to hit that little 'earth' symbol, then click on a some wallpost to get to the embedded mobile view and then I see if there is a new message. Where are the three basic fb symbols for "friends, messages and other activities"? And I can't share things with Metro Social.More
The best so far!
The more I use this app, the more I like it. It's the only Facebook app I've found that seems to really embrace the Windows 8 Metro look and feel. AND, when in snapped mode I can still see if I've received a notification, unlike the other knock-offs and wannabes. I initially had a problem with the News Feed not showing up, but a quick response from the developer got the issue resolved (log out of Metro Social, and when you log in, make sure you give permission to access your Facebook info).More
Finally a quality Facebook App!!
Finally a QUALITY windows8 Facebook app. The UI is really nice in this app - love the city selector backgrounds. Viewing photos on the app is really a great experience ... it's easy to browse, comment and like items. I also enjoy the differentiation between friends and close friends. The events page is really a big plus over Facebook itself...just a nice clean layout + shows birthdays!! The 20% view works perfectly for the newsfeed stream. Seriously you should download this thing.More
