New version removed features

Old version of this app was great! Could do multiple sessions, screen would scale well, could quickly add a new server to manage. Now all those features are gone. I cannot recommend this new version to anyone.

Loved it in 8.1 preview, annoyed by it in 8.1 RTM

I began using this app heavily while testing the 8.1 preview and loved how I could snap it 50% with the desktop. This solved an age old problem with mstsc getting the resolution correct. MSTSC couldn't be snapped to half your screen after making a connection without scaling the display. As of 06/24/2014, the app still crashes several times a day when used regularly. Since Update 1, it has become less functional due to the new title bar across the top. When an app in the remote session is running full screen, you end up closing Remote Desktop instead of closing the remote app on the desktop. Very annoying.

RDS RemoteApp Issue

Issue where an RDS RemoteApp session doesn't open as an "Application" but rather an RDP session where only the single application loads. Also, folders within the collection are no longer shown within the app. The older version of this app (I think 8.x) worked flawlessly...

They messed up on resolution settings

I don't like the layout change (insisting on full screen), and the prior version would readjust the resolution if you went off full screen. Now it keeps the full screen resolution and gives you scroll bars, which stinks. Especially since you can't give it a resolution when you make the connection. Boo. With that, I see from the feature suggestions that the Senior Program Manager David Belanger said this, "Definitely something we want to support and have started investigating the best way to accomplish this." So maybe we have something to look forward to.

You Broke It

The new version definitely crashes less, but switching between servers was a one click function, now it's a 4 click function and takes more time. I am happy you fixed the crashing issues, but you made a fast and easy tool more cumbersome, which is the Microsoft Way. I would rather deal with the crashing then have to use this new version to jump from server to server.

Major step backward

My favorite feature was the ability to scale the session in a window. Now it defaults to full screen and you are forced to scroll in windowed mode. Also lost the ability for multiple connections. I'm a systems engineer and use this app daily. Losing these two features is VERY frustrating. A great app ruined.

Terrible update.

I was worried that horrid mess of a beta RDP app would go live. The old one was so much better. Here is why this sucks: - I can no longer easily switch between multiple RDP sessions. It seems more than one isn't even active at once? Why? - It always goes to exclusive fullscreen. I want my RDP sessions to in windowed fullscreen so I still have access to my host taskbar. - No option to adjust resolution on resize. Why can I only connect at native host monitor resolution now? I have been using this app daily for over two years now. The usability has decreased 10-fold with this update. The update is great for mobile, NOT for desktops.

Such a sick app store and app

It takes ages to get the app store connected, even though I have 100mbps connection, and it takes another leap to get the app downloaded !

Used to be excellent

This was a super useful program before this June 2016 upgrade to make it more "Windows 10 friendly" or whatever. It had a few flaws, but it was great overall. Here are the things I can't do anymore since the upgrade: -Easily switch between open remote sessions -Switch in and out of fullscreen mode in a single click -View the name of the computer I'm currently logged into These are the features that made this app better than the built-in desktop version. They've recently added more of these features to the mobile version for iOS, which is really helpful, but the Windows 10 version is almost pointless without such features; I might as well go back to the built-in desktop version. I'm rarely one of those people who complains about updates, but this is truly a regression. If they just pushed out the old version again I'd be happy and newer users would probably think it was a major upgrade.

Recent Windows 10 update ruined a good thing

I have been using this remote desktop version since it was first released and I appreciate the tile previews. I would use it to run multiple remote instances on a HiRes monitor that I could move around the screen. The "Windows 10" update forces the remote instances to run full screen on connection. When you move out of full screen mode you are forced to use the annoying scrollbars to navigate the remote session. What happened to scaling the remote session to the size of the remote desktop window?
