Good control

The display adapter works great, I love the ability to wirelessly send my content to my monitor and keep a clean desk, exceptional. However I do have a quibble with the scaling on Windows 10, my surface book is an amazing device that does everything I want, except scale icons and text properly when connected to an external monitor.... Microsoft needs to fix this.

Seems a little cumbersome, but gets the job done. You need to disable any firewalls or open the port if you cannot communicate with the adapter. Adapter itself drops connection randomly although not frequently. Once every few hours. I have to disable the PC speakers in Microsoft "sound" control panel app to get audio out of the TV

Useful tool for managing my Microsoft wireless display

The tool can be used to easily manage my wireless display. I have used it several times to quickly update the firmware of my device. Fast and simple to use. It would be nice to have markers on the menu to adjust how far the screen extends (because some tv sets remove the outside of the screen). It was difficult to know where the edge of the display adapter was. If there was a little line or something to help me the process of adjusting the extent would have been more easy.

HDCP Issues

The Application is good overall, it would be useful to be able to disable HDCP and adjust screen resolution to be able to wirelessly connect a PC display to videoconference equipment.

Always disconnects

I got this wireless display adapter for my kids. So I can focus more on my home work but. I will play a couple of episodes fine then it will disconnect. :(

Frequently interrupted, really aggravating.

This connection drops very frequently, and for no apparent reason. If my computer was going to sleep, I would understand, but its just all the time. I stream music and it doesn't play well either. 3 stars for potential.

Piece of junk

This adapter will drop its connection once every hour or so just like someone else said. If you are watching a movie and streaming it through a hard drive than its laggy which is understandable. However even under perfect circumstances you cannot get through a feature length film without it crashing and usually causing your movie to pause or freeze altogether. If this thing could maintain a solid connection then it would be great but until then its entirely useless.

Great Idea, Poor Quality

Will there be any updates to this? When it works, it works amazing, but when it fails, it fails so bad. It will drop connections all the time once connected. It also will freeze your screen at times so you can't move to other windows. Also, it can mess up your laptop screen forcing you to drop it and reconnect or restart a few times.

A great idea poorly done

This is one of those devices that made me WANT a Surface. When it works it's awesome. However it only works about 20% of the time, hence the low rating. I've had to troubleshoot this for more time than I've actually used the wireless display. If this is the "Killer app" that you've been looking for to get a surface - skip it. So much frustration. You'd think that two items made by the same company would work well together, but you'd be wrong.

completely useless bloatware

this functionality should be built in with the connection sync. this program does nothing more than update firmware when connected to display adapter and change adapter name. if not connected to MS wireless display, provides link to MS troubleshooting website which is not beneficial to resolving connection errors.
