Love this App!

Only reason why it's four star is because it's still not updated for 6th generation. Great app otherwise though!

The best Pokémon app on Win 8, if only by default.

This is easily the best-looking and best-performing W8 Pokédex and Pokémon app. It has high-quality Sugimori artwork, in-app searching, evolutionary family and generational navigation, move lists, and even all the famed Pokémon cries. It even works in Snap view. It's not flawless though; returning to the menu takes users back to the start, the word "Characteristics" is not spelled correctly, and there's not THAT much info on the Pokémon, lacking important details like base stats and abilities. Update (10/17/2013): Months after I first wrote this review, Pokémon X and Y (and obviously Win 8.1) have now been released for the world to enjoy. Sadly, this app has never been updated once. All the flaws that I and several other reviewers have pointed out are still there and now that Gen VI has been released this app has now become dated. It still is the best Pokémon app in the Windows Store, but that's still not saying much. Thus, I'm removing one star from my original four-star rating.

Great but a few suggestions

This app looks great in the new metro design, and the color schemes make it look professional. Nice information that is put together comfortably. However, I have a few suggestions to the develop. It puts you at the beginning of the list when you leave a pokemon. More information would put this app even farther ahead. Things like HM/TM moves, gender ratios, egg groups, in-game locations, sprites and pokedex descriptions from each game instead of a single one. Great app overall!

Amazing

This is the best Pokedex app on Win 8 so far. However, I do get frustrated when I go back after viewing a Pokémon and it takes me to the beginning. I would love to see in future updates. 1. Fix for problem I mentioned. 2. Learnable HM/TM's for each Pokémon. 3. Location of Pokémon. 4. And their Stats. Great job on the app though. Seriously.

Simple. Neat. Highly Effective.

I love this app because of how elegantly it's organized. The use of Metro/Modern UI works really well and doesn't feel overwhelming when scrolling through all of the Pokémon. To include sound bits from the game was a nice little addition. It demonstrates the attention to detail that went into building the app. I couldn't really ask for more from this app. The functionality and good design is there.

cant even see the full moves

its nice but it needs to improve a heck of a lot, the sound of pokemon is just nothing except for scratching the wall and even the moves cant be seen fully

Good Pokémon reference

This is the best Pokédex app I've seen so far. All the pokémon I've seen have their moves listed (perhaps other reviewers refer to a previous update). I especially like that all pokémon in an evolutionary branch are listed together. Pretty much the only things that bother me are that when you press the "back" button after viewing stats you are sent back to the beginning of the list instead of where you left off, and that "characteristics" is misspelled "caracteristics" in every pokédex entry.

Not "Modern", simple

It is a pokedex, it has every pokemon, but it appears to only show the move lists for one generation, basic information on those moves, and no location, contest, or other data. Aside from the move list it is as basic as a pokedex can be. It does however, work.

Looks great, but is lacking

The app has a very nice integration with Windows 8 and the aesthetics are perfect, I wouldn't change that; it unfortunately has no information on a Pokémon's base stats, which is very important. It supplies the moves and what levels the Pokémon learns them at, but doesn't specify which game, generation, etc. and doesn't supply you with move tutor moves, egg moves, TM/HM moves, etc. It looks nice and might help a casual player, but nothing beyond that; don't change the looks, just add info.

Nice, but...

It's looks great, very professional and Windows 8 stylish! But it's missing a lot of information like the specifications of evolving Eevee, the weakness chart and the average stats each Pokémon has. Plus there isn't a search option. It wouldn't hurt adding information about the abilities and where can be found these Pokémon on the different games.
