I finally found a decent Win8 Movie maker!

Easy to use (be sure to watch the tutorial video) and full of features! I'll add a fifth star to my rating once I figure out how to start with a template to add my video, photos and music to the project.

Works good - now make it better

I would like to see it have smoother transactions and more features but if you need to put a small project together in a pinch this will do. I hope the dev will continue to improve the product over time. It was great to go vacation with just my camcorder and my Surface RT. I took video, plugged my camcorder into the USB port on the Surface, offloaded the files, imported them into a new project and came out with a decent finished project.

Works great on my Surface RT

I've been looking for such app for a while for my Surface RT. Simple but functional video editing. You have all the basic functions, Trim, Transition, Add music, mix pictures with video, add titles and publish (Local file or Youtube). Kinda slow with HD video encoding but who cares, as long as I get the job done. Not sure why some people are reporting bugs as it works seamlessly on my Surface RT.

Updates to this app have made it really sweet!

The latest updates to this movie editor are really showing it's potential now. The touch interface is great, and it is a total blast to edit videos. The color correction controls work really well, and are terrific on a tablet. I hope the developer adds video stabilization! Great fun!!

Barely works

It's painfully slow and buggy. I added text, tried to delete it, the text remained but the box in the timeline disappeared. Please fix this!

Good but get full version

The app is great but it doesn't let you save any project with the trial :/

Not for editors who want precision

Beware- this program leaves an audio tag on any cut that you make- so if you're attempting to splice together an interview, for example, prepare to always hear another second or two of audio, making the program essentially unusable. It's probably fine if you want to make slideshows of your dog. But if it's not, beware- help is not this company's best product.

Not for nontouch desktop!

Doesn't let you use a lot of the features without touch enabled screen. Easily unusable for desktop.

Not worth it.

Maybe I'm just dumb but I've been playing with this, trying to make it work, and it sucks. It always exits you out and doesn't do what you want it to.
