Don't expect more than what you see
I ended up getting this because I've been using my Windows 10 PC Start Menu heavily, but was getting irritated with the lack of uniformity. I found myself changing tile sizes constantly as I added new ones just to make columns align with one another. It dawned on me one day that I could just grab one of these apps and plop a picture down to handle the alignment. It would be more aesthetically pleasing and would allow me to accomplish my goal. I grabbed this app and, when I found it did just what it said it did, I paid for the "All Tiles Pack" so I could have the additional layouts - I wasn't worried about the pictures changing. I've been able to clean up my start menu, but, I must say, the application is somewhat sparse. Don't expect anything more than what you see in the picture. My only real complaint is that the name of every tile is "Tile Created via My Tiles" (only seen on hover). DEVELOPER: REMOVE THE TITLE AFTER USER HAS PAID IF NOT ENTIRELY. RATING WOULD BE 4/5 IF THIS CHANGES.More
Just another tiled picture maker...
It isn't very good at anything but making tiled pictures on the modern UI desktop (tiled desktop). Tiles do nothing else. Cute for the eye candy look, but no real purpose otherwise.More
Really an awesome app
Yeah, it might have some room for improvement and it may employ in-app purchases (Which I am all for--you can't get everything for free! Go, developers! :), but it is really already a stellar, albeit pretty simple app. I officially love pinning tiles to my Start Screen. Currently I have Aslan from Chronicles of Narnia and a great set of tiles of my family. Really a fan. Nice job, guys. I'll be sure to tell my friends. My only suggestion would be to give the whole thing a tiny cosmetic makeover.More
I have to revise my review
It actually is free to try folks. You just have to figure it out. I'd like to be able to put a text label on the tiles though, maybe I can but haven't spent enough time learning.More
A needed App, just not right now.
Some people are mad that this doesn't accept applications, but even from the picture you can tell it's made to showcase pictures. It will probably die out eventually when slideshow tiles get made for free, but it 'is' the only one that effectively does this...and really it is nice to look at a slide of pictures you like without using the entire screen. If you need Metro shortcuts for desktop apps, use Oblytile. This does the job advertised, even if only so so. Also: NOT FREEMore
Now I can fill my start menu with pictures that change every 15 minutes. Love this APP.More
Requires you to pay for it even though its freeMore
Takes up to much room for basically empty photo links.More
Features too limited
It looks like there is a bunch of neat features, but they are all limited. I can't even try them once to see if they are worth purchasing?More
... that do nothing.
yes.. can create a tile... but can not embed an smarts. It just is a picture... that does nothing. Can't launch a URL... an app... nothing. I thought it would let me tag URLs at least. I expected it was equivalent to changing the Icon for a shortcut (in W7).More
