The best navigation app

UPDATE #2: With other apps dropping off the platform, this is the best navigation app available. ETA usually tells you a faster arrival time than it actually end up being, especially if you are driving in the city and it's rush hour. For highway driving, it's much more accurate UPDATE: Google search switched to Bing search and worked for a while (tho not as cleanly), but now it goes to Cortana with no way to bring the results back into Navigon. -- Google search does not work anymore. Received message that this service is no longer supported. This was my favorite and go to app for navigation, but google search was the heart of the usefulness of the app. Please fix! Will be using Here navigation and waze until then

Almost perfect. It just really needs the ability to give directions over the higher priority Bluetooth headset profile like HERE Drive and CoPilot does. Sometimes I prefer to listen to my car's radio and I can't get directions anymore since Navigon only uses the music profile. This would make it five stars in my books. Add background navigation and it would be icing on the cake!

Please add option to store maps in SD card. This app is lacking compared to iOS version. Integrated music control is not supported. Muting the background music during voice direction announcement should be standard. Nokia's, FREE, Drive navigation supports this simple feature. Lastly, map rendering when driving is noticeably slow. This app needs to be on par with the iOS version!

When it comes to navigation, this app is top notch. Searching for destinations is a whole different story. I find it easier to Bing search and then using the app to drive. A few things are annoying about the app: First, its super heavy on battery use - so realistically you can only use it while charging phone. Second, it only works with offline maps. So if you are driving to another state, make sure you have all states on the way downloaded or the app won't work. Maps also need to have WiFi connection to be downloaded, so you can see how you can get screwed on a road trip. Having said that, the app is still far above any other navigation software tried.

I bought this app because I used to own an actual Navigon GPS before they were bought by garmin. Mapping is great and I love lane assistance. The main problem for me is that Navigon cannot open an address link. So while the app will load, it will not insert an address like Nokia/Here drive does, and so you are always forced to manually type in addresses.
