A lot more work needed

The windows version of this app is terrible. It is extremely slow, hangs and often jus becomes unusable. If you are lucky you can read a few articles until it freezes. Android and iPad versions are excellent. Unfortunately I just cannot use it on my Surface, I have either read on Android phone's small screen of borrow iPad from wife. Please make the app usable, I love NewScientist magazine and I would like to read it om my device.

The embedded links and videos are great. Linear navigation between stories is fine (arrows are easy; drag is tricky). Portrait is the only practical orientation (which is how I normally read, so works fine for me). Global navigation is a bit awkward though, you don't have the same section context as you have in the physical magazine, and load times are very slow. If you don't have access to the regular magazine, this is a decent way to access it.

Horrible layout

it's definitely a long work in progress. The part that bothers me the most is that if I buy an issue, I am charged and then get an error message when trying to download (authorization error) and cannot get the issue. The ones that are available either don't open, or it is centered in the middle of the screen 8 cm wide and a long scroll. Wait for the finished product.

Work in Progress

At this point, the app at least works and does provide a better layout than the New Scientist website (which itself could use a major update). However, it is difficult to navigate; it would be helpful if the Table of Contents was present on the left or right side like it is in the iPad version rather than tucked away.

This app is broken

I have a subscription to New Scientist but it does not recognize my login. I even wasted time updating my login at the New Scientist web site but it still doesn't work with this app.
