Service dramatically improved week 3.

The first two weeks were unwatchable, however, it looks as though DirecTv has improved their stream, answering a lot of the issues that were addressed by the customers. I will update if I experience any future issues, but as for now I can recommend this app and service again. When the video feed is working properly, the picture is fantastic, even on a 55 inch screen.

Terrible

Do not bother paying for the internet streaming. It is horrific and has been all season. Constant interruptions, often shuts down for no reason. Always in the middle of a big play. And I have a dedicated, hard line connection with 15MBPS download speed. I totally wasted my money. Never again.

Streaming is pure garbage

I stream several major sports via my laptop (NBA League Pass, MLBTV, NHL Center Ice) and I do not have any issues with picture quality, buffering, technical issues, etc. The Sunday ticket streaming was absolute garbage today. The picture was so blurry throughout, you could not read the clock, make out specific players. , or even make out the ball on passes and kicks. On SIX different occasions during the game, the app closed itself and would not allow me to sign back in for 5-10 minutes. This is thievery at its finest from DirecTV and I will be contacting the BBB about it tomorrow.

Works for me!

First before posting review I'd like to say that I pay for internet that is good for streaming video. With that said I love it. Played great most of the time and the picture is good. Occasionally there is a few streaming problems like freezing or blurry picture, but no more than Sling.com. It's definitely worth $50 a month to save a fortune for DirectTv and football package. As far as I'm concerned, I am getting my money's worth and would recommend it, but again, you need to have wifi that is good for streaming video.

Good app, could be better

While I haven't had any issues with the connection and video quality, running this on a laptop decreases the experience quite a bit. When you minimize the app window, the streaming stops completely. Upon restoring the window, it takes a good 10 seconds to re-establish the connection, then another 10+ seconds to buffer and get back to high quality video. In other words, don't mistakenly minimize this app right before a big play, because you will most certainly miss it.

Even with a 1 Gig Internet Connection - we see delays

Our home has a 1 Gig Internet connection courtesy of AT&T GigaPower. The internet is perfect for all sites, especially streaming. In the case of DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket, there is large room for improvement. The games lag sometimes, like with today's Texans and Bears game. Other times the resolutions is perfect 1080p and then it fades to something far under 720.....let me say it was less than 480 sometimes. Not sure what is going on, but I know it's not our 1 gig connection nor is it the Intel i7 based Window 10 laptops in the home. We do not have issues with Netflix ever or with streaming, so I am guessing it must be a DirecTV issue. If not, they should be messaging users for those that watch a game with spotty resolution and let them know that the issue is being addressed. I hope they get this addressed soon. All other video apps are working fine....I think it is a network problem of some sort.

Cannot deliver a steady stream, constant buffering

I have paid for this for 2 years now and I regretted it last year and I already regret it this year. Video stream quality is awful. Please feel free to pay the $200 if you enjoying paying for constant buffering and frozen video. I am on a fios fiber connection with 80meg up and down connection.

Live streaming? More like live chopped garbage.

The games are almost unwatchable. Well over half the time is spent buffering with chopped video and poor quality picture. My connection is MORE than enough to handle this so it's either a problem with the app or with directTV.

Not Good

I have 50 Mbps and it's definitely not 720p as advertised. It's 480p at best. The picture freezes from time to time on top of that. For $200.00 I would expect 1080p that does not freeze.

Really good

MUCH better than the web app which is pretty trash. This does what I expect: plays the streams, switches streams quickly, etc. Good stuff.

Freezes on Every Big Play

The video will freeze all the time and any time there is a big play or touchdown. Once video catches up you miss it. Absolutely ruined the games for me. Makes me want money I spent on Sunday Ticket back.
