Description

"Nokia NFC is a Windows Phone app which allows you to read/write any standard NFC tag. You can create NFC tags to launch applications, check-in to places, update social status, or even make phone calls or send text messages by simply waiving your phone over the programmed tag. Once a tag is created you place the tag in a convenient place, then tap your phone to it to perform the actions that have been stored to the tag. While the tags are created using your Windows Phone, they can be read by any operating system that is NFC enabled!"

I want to use NFC to turn my bluetooth on and off, in my car without inconvinient interaction with with the phone, but the phone and the software are one step short of success.... I have to turn on the bluetooth myself at the final stage, it saves me a couple of taps but it doesn't present the final solution. It may be good for other thing but who cares when it doesn't work for what you need it.

Awesome. Could you add a feature to add a Cellular data+SIM setting? It would greatly enhance my NFC experience! If multiple commands were an option, that would be great too, although currently limited by the OS.

Great for creating tags that send you to a website, share an address, or location on a map, but I always viewed the usefulness as being something to send people to harder-to-find places, or non-standard apps (ones that come from the store). I can't find a way to do that with this.

It works, but I don't like the workflow. This is a very 'end user' app that appears to be designed by a marketing department. It's pretty an monetized first, with tag management functionality as a tertiary concern. If you are an engineer-type, keep looking.

I'd give 5 stars for this app if it could write multiple commands to a NFC tag. For example, i want have a tag that can enable Bluetooth, open Here app, and auto send a message saying I'm driving if I had a miss call.

I have to say after spending $20 on NFC tags and trying multiple NFC apps including this one I am very disappointed about NFC on wp8. Here is why: - no NFC app allows you to set a wp8 setting. No turning WiFi,Bluetooth, on or off. The best you can do is to bring up the settings page. -can't set volume or ringer settings. These actions are doable on android but not wp8. Nokia here is where you can use your influence to improve things.

I really wish it would start any installed application. There are a lot of possibilities if that were allowed.
